You see one of the main problems is that nobody creates anything anymore, they just consume. What every man and woman is looking for is deep inside each and every one of them. So let us stop picking on the 'teenager' and move on to the fully fledged 'adult' who really should know better. Many adults are little copycats. They are so fucking bored with the tediousness of life that they look for 'guides to living' from their heroes. Sadly, these so called 'heroes' tend to be 'entertainers'. They watch Eastenders and see someone 'they really identify' with having an affair and think to themselves, "I am abit like her, maybe that's what I want in my life, An affair"

Their version of individuality appears to be drssing like everybody else. Okay, maybe I am being a bit harsh on the 'teenager' here. ALL teenagers are, by and large, dreary and conservative, but there seems to be a lack of real rebellion.

I was thinking about this in Morrissons. I look at the new generation of Youth and I see a mass of replicas. This is all I see. They all speak the same, sound the same, say the same things. The thing is, LOVE is often misconstrued os romantic love. For sure, falling in love with another person and sharing your life with them as its benefits but at the same time it has its major pitfalls. You see, romantic love offers fleeting glimpses of Universal Love, and Universal Love is the whole that we all long for. I, personally, am convinced that it exists in The Now, this moment, not five seconds ago, this present moment. Eckhart Tolle is a great spiritua teacher of this.

HOPE is by and large a labour in vain, it is a false quest. It is also an essential component in the humankind's survival arsenal. If we did not have HOPE, the suicide rate would increase tenfold. But yeah, getting back to that slippery little void fellow. Can we beat it and keep it at bay. I would like to think so. (Or maybe that is just me being 'hopeful'. BE HERE NOW are three very powerful words that can ground us and dismiss the 'plasticity' of all what life offers.

So yeah, one of the major hurdles for Mankind is certainly this 'void' thing. It is the ONE thing that all advertisers exploit. We are always trying to or waiting to become WHOLE. "Once I do this, once I get this job, once I find the right person to fall in love with, if I buy this product it will COMPLETE me and make me feel WHOLE.".
