  • sir please play Bin Tere Reprise from the film 'I hate love Story'... its really touch my heart but i can't play that ...

  • i did that lesson long time back, pls search thru my main page ...

  • some day :) cant promise though :(

  • Pawan boss -- chords sound great. Much better than some other versions floating around on the net. Any chance you can post chords & lyrics? Video helps, but written lyrics & chords, would be awesome!

    Thanks again for sharing...

  • that's a great idea, manu :)

i barely get time to shoot and edit my videos around once a month, posting lyrics etc doesn't look likely ...

  • Pawan sir

I am agree with Manu ..pls given chords with lyrics

  • some day :)

  • hi plz give me jana jogi de nal by kilash kher chords

  • nice song!

key is E, will sound if u can play E7 instead of E

mukhda also has Dm, Am and F

  • Since thier are lots of variations in chords, is it okay if we use any variation or only a particular one should be used? I use the internet to find chords and it really confuses me...

  • i've tried to play as close to the original as possible .... variations are fine, but they can be wrong in the context of the song's scale and mood ... or they may be even grossly incorrect, the internet is full of wrong postings .... :)

  • sir u r the reason behind all the guitar teachers loosing their jobs....lolz...this lesson is awesum...i was looking for correct chords for this song and bingo!!! thanx alot

  • oops, i'll be a hated guy soon if that's the truth :)

let me know if u have any other questions .... pawanjalan@gmail.com

  • Hello..sir...I would really appreciate if you can upload a video for Kailash Kher's Dilruba...

    Eagerly waiting for reply..

  • nice song, will keep it on my list, no promises though!

try the song in Em, mukhda has mostly Em and A

also shades of G and D

and B at one point ...

  • amazing sir

  • thanks a lot, amit :)

  • bina chords seekhe koi song nai play kr skte kya???

  • chords are for accompaniment whilst u r singing...

u r not playing the melody itself when u place the chords ...

if u want to play the melody itself, u have to learn how to play lead / solos

keyboard is a better instrument to play the melody itself

  • Your Simply Awesome dear... Keep Rocking !!!

    Srikant

  • thanks for awesome feedback, srikant :)

  • wonderful sir,great work...i always prefer ur pattern...THANKX A LOT:)

  • thanks, shaun :)

  • will check out the songs by jal, no promises though !!

playing with fingers the way i do requires a bit more practice, keep working at it if u really want to do it ...

  • Simply great!!....You are awesome sir......my best regards......

  • thanks for your awesome feedback :)

  • Sir, for beginers like me, u r like God. There are other people on youtube who upload lessons, n I've learned a lot from u and them. Its been a couple of months now since I started playin guitar. The thing is, I am good at playin leads/solos. M struggling big time to switch between chords. Also, strumming is not rhythmic. Please help.

  • looks like u posted this on 3 song pages!!

as i said, keep practising, it will get better :)

  • very well done bro..

  • thanks bro :)

  • its easy to play by your style, but its not your best. its too plain.not melodious like your other productions. All the Best.

  • thanks for your feedback, tanveer :)

  • the song i was referiing to was Ibn-ne batuta from the same movie and sung by mika and sukvinder. Also since you have shortened your video lesson, it will be best if you cover the chorus and at least one stanza of the song that you upload. great work ..keep it up

  • thanks, varghese!

sometimes the initial section itself is too long, and i don't get enuf time to do complete songs .... will keep it in mind ...

  • Thanks again. This is just wonderful!

  • thanks, ankush!

    god bless, pawan :)

  • Great!! boss u r good in plucking as well ....good and i know u still remember about scale mode lessons as u hv done earlier....

  • hmm its good!!!

  • thnx for replyig sir but den could u post the basic chord structure and strumming pattern for that song

  • will try, no promises though as i have quite a few requests on my plate!

  • dis one olso iz as amazin as ur previous videos thnx once again n sir could u tel me or post lesson for the song tune mujhe pehchna nahi frm d film raju chacha i rily love dis song i saw one guy playing it i hav olso tried it but m stil nt satisfied it wud be nice iff u post finger piking as well....watin for ur reply sir take care

  • thanks my friend!

i am not good at finger picking the right way - for this lesson, i improvised my own way, but i cannot generalize that style for all songs ...

  • r u der on facebook

  • yes, but i don't use it much ...

  • Too good, loved this one as much as all your videos.

  • thanks, raj :)

  • great job sir!

Great to know you find my videos useful :)

    God bless

    Pawan

  • hi

want to know the tabs of acoustic guitar played in remix version

  • sorry, i don't do tabs ...

  • howdy pawan

    1. i've seen some of ur videos and it seems to me u use ur index and middle finger for down strum n not d thumb wats d reason behind it?

2.if i wanna play exceptionally well how much time should be devoted regularly(can't give more dan an hour except in holidays)?

3.except youtube what r d other sources u found benificial while u were learning?

  • 1. i use all my fingers, gives a strong yet smooth sound, not the crisp one produced by a pick, which i use on stage ...

    2. an hour of serious practice every day will take you a long way - just be patient as improvements take time to show, and a lot of folks give up early on because it hurts and doesn't sound nice initially ...

    3. i learnt decades ago mostly from books - there was no internet then, and i had no teacher.

  • Hello Sir,

I am a beginner in guitar and I have been following and learning from your posts for almost a year now. My guitar playing has improved considerably, thanks to your simple yet effective style of teaching.

I am sure there are a lot of other 'ekalavyas' out there who would want to thank you.

Please keep up the good work and looking forward to your posts.

  • thanks satish!

i am no drona, but i truly appreciate your comments :)

will try to keep it going ....

  • thanks sir for taking into my request after so long time.....gr8 post u rock.... \m/

  • thanks, my friend :) i had no choice, was pounded by a zillion requests for this one ...

  • sir one more request.....piya re !! nusrat fateh ali khaan.....wud be a great help !!

  • great song, will add it to my queue on my main page ...

  • that was cool

but sir i want some guitar chords for atif songs from doorie and its new one also

    if u can provide it

i ll be thankful to u

  • hold on 2 ur requests for now, vj - am swamped with requests this month ...

  • Hi Pawan,

    Great lesson as always !!

Please tell us more about yourself. Are you based in Toronto, Canada ? When did you go there ? You are from which part of India ? Where did you learn guitar ? What is your day job ? Do you run guitar classes ? Any plans to return to India ?

I am sure all your fans and admirers would like to know these and more about you.

May the force always be with you !

    Abhi

  • wow, lotsa questions, abhi :) not sure who else wud wanna know all this though:) am based in Toronto moved here in 2004 am from rajasthan, but raised in kolkata self-taught, in cal, during college days ... working with an FI guitar lessons thru youtube mostly no plans yet to return to India god bless pawan

it must have been very difficult to learn guitar by yourself. how did you manage ? hat's off to you. since you were in kolkata, can you speak/understand bengali ?

  • not at all my friend, i enjoy this and love all my viewers !!

i am quite fluent in bengali, r u from cal ?

  • i am a bengali born in mumbai. i have never lived in kolkata but have relatives there whom i visit sometimes. i love the city. people there are interested in music and the arts so one gets to meet a lot of like-minded people. also the food is great ! what are your memories of the city while you were growing up ?

  • roadside phuchka, muri, bhutta, pyara, daab and on and on ...

  • played poorly need practice...sir i m not talking about you,i m talking bout myself !!!!and yes takamine and martin manufacture best acoustic guitars

  • whew, ur first line scared the shit outta me :)

  • Thanks Pawan you reply to almost all messages of your viewers thats really great thanks for your help on Aaj jaane ki jidd na karo.

Now I am waiting fpr your post on mai re.I was looking for that song and I have seen you have queued it up on your request list.

    Thanks again

  • yup, that's in the queue, might bundle it with other sufi songs into one video ... let's see when i get the time to do it ...

  • Pawan you are the best...I'd love to meet you if I'm in Toronto sometime...n I'd love to see some Floyd or metallica songs coming from you as well..!!!!..Do u have classes out there..??

  • Hi

I also gave a message on your youtube inbox can you please reply to it as well?

  • i must have replied to it, if u haven't heard from me cud u send me ur message again?

  • Sir ji..... you know wat.... everytime you play... you are "The Best" everytime... Thanks a lottttttttttttttttttttttttttttt for the video lesson of this song... You are just awesome....... Even though i know i might not be able to play these chords.... But just keep trying. shayad one day i will be able to play a bit.... thanks again sirji :)

  • thanks for your sweet note, prince ji :)

it's just a question of practice, keep working on it and u will be surprised how easy it is !!

  • Pawan, superb lesson. Yes, ur right, the beat may be very basic, but as i found out it still has a sting. Surprise, surprise but I dint find it the easiest to change chords. Largely because there are just so many chords and even more so because they are a mixture of barre and open chords while other chords have a dead note/string. Never the easiest!

    Nevertheless, its a superb lesson!

    Cheers

    Mangesh

  • thanx mangesh!

as i said in the lesson, u can manage with mostly F#m, C#7 and Bm - and all are in the same position ... but, yeah, if u want to do justice to the composition, u shud try all the chords ...

  • you just Rock!

  • thanks, param!

  • Great stuff sir!!!

  • thanks my friend :)

  • Once again Pawaj Sir "the boss"

was dreaming of this lesson for few days :) :)

    perfect chors dada :)

thank u and god bless you.

  • thanks anand

    god bless u 2 :)

  • To be honest hexxle, I either watch all tutorials for guitar on here (youtube) or I know another site that I found on youtube called MYGUITARGURU (dot) INFO that is really really helpful, with stacks and stacks of videos, it really did help me out.

  • thanks, man!

yeah, that web site is good. am planning something like that but it's taking time as i am not full time into this ...

  • nice job done

  • thanks :)

  • man your bar chords sound perfect and your fingers don't even look stressed....how do you do it? I have not been able to play bar chords since i started, few days ago i learnt some techniques and can play the chord with max of one-two bad strings (muted or distorted ). Also, when i strum with a pick it sounds as if I am trying to break the strings.

Can you please post a lessons for the following:

    1. Playing bar chords

    2. Strumming and holding a pick

  • it's all a matter of practise, my friend :)

put in at least 30 minutes of dedicated practise every day, more if possible, and u will see improvements soon...

for general lessons, go to web sites like justinguitar . com and torrins . com, they are very good ...

  • Awesome video....

  • thanks, rahul :)

  • every day I look for your video and after a long time got one. Thank you very very much again with another great post.

  • thanks my friend :)

sorry for the delay, have been busy with work and other personal commitments ...

  • great video as usual.....

  • thanks, pawan :)

  • gr8 sir ... simply grrrr8888...

  • thanks sid :)

  • no words...awesome.....how are you able to find the complex chords like C#7, Dm7.......sounds perfect.......

  • keep playing with different songs, soon ur "ears" will get trained :)

  • well... i play...and i recogniz chords very easily...i just have some probs...when there is any complex chords used...

  • complex is a relative term!

jazz music has very very complex chords - and i feel lost when trying to figure them out :)

  • Perfect..

  • thanks, faisal :)

  • let my ear rings today, i will only listen this video and not mark the chords used.

    will try it tommorrow.!

    thanks once again sir..

    perfect composition

    -- nikhil

  • thanks, nikhil

hope u find the chords useful, there are quite a few :)

  • Superb sir...

your Arpeggios always take any song to another level...
