Great memories , I was at that concert , just did my intercert 1983 I think. Best band to come out of IRL for sure. John Sykes was amazing. No concert will ever surpass this one. Pity they dont make time machines.
Wow...the band sounds great but Phil's vocals are just awful. It's disappointing cause on the album he's a madman! You could do an anti-drug PSA with one after the other, "this is your performance on heroin." R.I.P. Mr Lynott.
I saw the thunder and lightening tour twice and the Odeon in B'ham, the best concerts I ever went to. Phil u were a charismatic genius RIP The Rocker!
It's a damn shame the music scene had changed so much around this band by this time. The world was into Duran Duran and Culture Club while Lizzy carried on like it was 1977. I have nothing against those bands, but COME ON!
If anybody wants to see the last days of sheer fucking rock, just show them this.
He fucks up so much because at this point in his life he was withering away from smack & booze. You should see more footage from the last tour, he constantly flubs the lyrics and looks like he's barely holding it together. Pretty sad to see, actually.
Boderline thrash at the time...Feel for Phil on a live version..Nailed it in the studio, a little tough live...Love ya Phil...John Sykes rocks....Grreat Song...
All I need is All the World's a Stage, Live and Dangerous, an 18 pack of beer, a pack of smokes, a big fat joint, and i'm all set for one bad ASS saturday night.
ahead of its time, i guess. (the guitarist sounds like he's channeling the spirit of michael schenker, while paving the way for kirk hammett.) but the song just isn't all that much FUN.....................
Great song, great group, great years and ofcourse great musicians. Kepp the rock alive please. Love this song. "Like thunder and lightning got damn it's so exiting"
J Sykes is incredible..have to say in "Dreamworld" loved to have substituted Sykes for Viv Campbell.Viv with Sweet Savage supported Lizzy many times before going to Def Leppard and Irish! Love both players!!
If by any chance you're reading this please post more, specially "I Have Got To Give It Up" if you have it, Sykes kicked *ss on that on the live album!
Lynott's voice is pretty knackered in this vid
