It is a man and a woman dressed up as characters from films singing about the qualities of certain kinds of films. And also if you listen the beginning of the "indie" song begins talking about how the unattractive male is with the attractive female, exactly like college humor. Sure there maybe be a few subtle differences but the concept in general was stolen from college humor.
