This was the best strategy game to date, even now it still ranks extremely highly, No other game can put this much emphasis onto careful planning and not just mass building the strongest unit. The game was not just rock/paper/scissors, any unit could beat another unit quite easily, the addition of super powers and generals abilities only made it even better and added another level of depth. I cannot wait for generals 2. Cannot, wait.

Generals and Zero Hour were the last good C&C games released in my opinion.

The GLA Demolitions General was always my main. That extra explosive firepower, suicide ability for all units and cheaper bomb trucks helped me SO MUCH in battle. Right next to him was the USA Laser General, then China Nuclear General.

Sometimes it feels like one of those rpg troopers have a longer range then one of those super agent equipped with sniper rifles. I suppose I lagged like hell then.

This game is awesome. But somewhat unrealistic. Tanks don't take 4 shots to take down a single infantry unit. And there is usually a big explosion. Same with missile troops. They would take down infantry in one shot. Good graphics in this game, except infantry units. They look very poorly made.

Rebels don't look like terrorists, but random ass helmet guys with rectangular rectangular blocks for weapons.

Rangers are messed up too and dont get me started on Red Guard

It was made for Balancing. Tanks don't kill infantry, they weren't made for the game like that. same with the rockets.

It's all in the Game play anyway. Also, on the textures.

Imagine having 100's of Soldiers, all SPiffy and corrected and crap. That would lag straight to hell. Just having like 5 Angry mobs would lag, good computer or not. having them big and and not so detailed makes it so it wont go all stupid on you.

Perhaps it's just the mod i'm playing. But it doesn't matter. I've played rts games my whole life. And no, 100s of soldiers don't lag, 5+ very hard Ais lag the game. But yes.

But don't worry, I'm not hating on the game, it's a very wonderful (lol wonderful) game, just hate the texture on troops guns and tank and unit statistics.

Ex, move the mouse over Adv Training icon on a Paladin, and it should say "Advanced Training- units gain veterancy twice as fast, Upgrade at Strategy Center".

@gerillamotherf Actually no. The game uses the SAGE Engine that was developed by Westwood as the W3D Engine and EA Upgraded it to the SAGE Engine, which they used for Generals, LOTR BFME and Tiberium Wars. It's a good game engine, only it was badly applied to Tiberium Wars.
