  • lol epic trolling by connors

  • After seeing this point, you can't say that Federer scored the best point ever against roddick.

  • That was amazing, absolutely incredible.

  • I don't know about the but nowadays you have to keep the racket in hand or else you lose the point

  • i'v always wanted to do that.... thats AWESOME

  • that was wow! AHA Moment in tennis history

  • why does the racquet have to be in your hand? novak djokovic dropped his racquet before and picked it back up to win a point

  • this isn't legal the racquet has to be in your hand

  • can dey do dat

  • and if you drop the racquet you can pick it back up....

  • this was legal in the game at this point, when this happened your racquet did not have to be in your hand, after this match, the rules was changed. If you want to look in the rulebook you would need to find the 1995 version

  • Is that even leagal

  • I wanna see what kind of dance he did after they told him he didn't win the point.

  • wait isn't this illegal?

  • haha ive done that before! such a epic feeling

  • really smart thinking there.. but why is this illegal?

  • @sbr1601 it's illegal to hit the ball when the racquet isn't touching your hand.

  • LMAO!

  • No, nice showboating but that's not a legal point.

  • @dctrex it was at the time

  • Thumbs up if u watched multiple times.

  • tumbs up if u still watching this on 2011

  • THAT IS WHAT I CALL TENNIS AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • Crazy love it ...

  • I admired Connors

  • Why did he do that gay dance if he didn't win the point? Did he no know the rules?

  • @Kiasko He knew he was going to be on YouTube.

  • All the comments on here about gay - what a bunch of stupid teenagers.

That 'gay dance' was him pantomiming a swordfighter - a little schtick he did from time to time, as a joke. He had the personality to sell tennis, like no other since. Jimmy Connors was the most macho guy in the tour, known as the bad boy of tennis, and married a Playboy playmate, Patti McGuire. Check her out on Google and weep, little boys.

  • @lostchordevine ramblings aside, it was gay

  • @starhawks1 You're obviously a little boy. Little boys call everything 'gay'.

  • @lostchordevine I bet you like the thought of me being a little boy. Faggot.

  • @starhawks1 DON'T want to hear your little homo fantasies. You're a pathetic little snit. This is a post about a tennis player, and here you are, going on about sexual preferences.

You must be a prepubescent virgin who's built like a paper airplane... with thin legs, knobby knees - we both know that no girl would ever look at you - so this is how you compensate, Now, I gotta go. Got a girlfriend waiting, pissed off at me for even wasting a minute on a youtube troll like yourself.

  • @lostchordevine I'll bet that's exactly how you like to picture me...get some help dude you're one step away from being an online predator

  • lol he didnt won the point but hey thats was great shot

  • I love Connors but, What a Gay Azz

  • this is not allowed..so he lost the point

  • While this point was amazing, if he had to throw his racket that high, the ball must have already been going out.

  • @shortysk8er266 Not with a topspin lob :O

  • @shortysk8er266 it looks as though it would have came down, but i suppose it wouldnt have been hard to deal with.

  • @uw10isplaya he won the point!!! The rules were changed after this match, so this is an effective point (as the speaker said, if someone understands french).

  • It s not valid, is it?

  • Winning the point or not, that was freaking awesome!

  • @NiclasLamakaDonKey

There are a whole slew of shots that are more awesome then that. Thousands and they were "legal" based on the rules. Why would I want to applaud a circus shot? Especially when it's not even legal?

  • @bobbycratchit 1. Because it looks awesome 2. Therefore; entertaining to see 3. Well, I don't know if YOU can do that, but I can't... 4. Sports are a drag if they become too serious :)

  • That's specifically covered in the rules. That's not a legal play so he should have lost the point. Sorry!!!

  • @bobbycratchit fuck the rules

  • 0:06 "haters gonna hate"

  • Oh, Jimmy Connors. Dicking around as usual : )

  • No he wouldn't win the point because the racket has to be in your hands but good try dude.

  • Winning dance... Power Ranger do the same.

  • did he win the point?

  • He even caught the racket haha

  • Jimmy Connors Win

  • I can't stop laughing at this. lolllll

  • what a weird as celebration

  • Connors is the biggest asshole of all time

  • ,,,,How???

  • You deserve to win the point if you can throw the raquet at the ball and "win" the point

  • Funny xD

  • according to the rules he should lose the point

  • @Tomluvsmusic1

well he did lose the point

  • @Tomluvsmusic1 why?

  • thats not a legal shot, but i think they gave him the point just for the effort LOL!

  • I agree! Connors was an awesome competitor because he was such an egotistical asshole. He never seem to e a good sport. Mc Enroe was and still is a genius and still plays for charitable causes.

I never liked Connors' style of play either.

  • That dance says everything that needs to be said about Connors. Oh, and his 8 year old haircut as well.

Just a hyperactive, annoying brat. Great tennis player, but a total brat. Yet somehow McEnroe was the one labeled a brat. McEnroe at least was a good, decent guy, and he shows his humility constantly these days when talking about the new players. Connors was always a prick on and off the court.

  • They should've taken away his point after that gay dance he did.

  • @SgtPeperz he didnt win the point smart one

  • @SgtPeperz you say gay like it's a bad thing lol

  • 0:16 his winning dance x)

  • It would have been awkward if he missed the racquet when it fell down... =.=

  • Not legal you idiots he just put on a show for a second

  • @cj397 but, it was a cool show, worth watching in youtube

  • If you're gonna lose a point, do it in style.

  • maestro

  • guys he won these point itz in 1996 ...

but if u do it now u lost the point

    i am tennis player i know ...

  • Why are all the comments about whether he won or lost the point. That is almost meaningless, who cares if he won a pt in a Senior tour match15 yrs ago with no real meaning. It is an amazing shot enjoy it for what it is and stop bickering and arguing the rule book like your some smart person dropping mad knowledge on us all.

  • Actually he lost the point since it's forbidden to throw your rocket...!

  • Unbelievable tekkers!

  • nice victory dance lol

  • LOL!!!

  • Easy, I ve already did this many times...

  • Even if it not valid, It FUCKING awesome

  • Any idiot who thinks this is a valid shot does not know anything about tennis. Connors did not win this point. You cannot throw your racket at the ball. Period. It was fun though.

  • it's illegal in tennis.

  • 1338 people thought he won the point

  • @uw10isplaya he didnt? because thats what the commentator says

  • Do you like chip at me? This make pleasure to you?

This is the world style! And yours!

    The rules nowadays:

    Player loses the point:

The ball in play touches the racket when the player is not holding it.

    I read it here:

    Will you say sorry?

    Of course not!

  • In the tennis rules this is an invalid shot.

  • @GerseZoltan Well, it IS!

If you can see, the ball touched the string (or frame) which is totally in the rule.

Secondly, he could pick up the racket before it touched the ground - still valid.

Third, the racket has not cross to the opponent's side - valid.

Do you actually know the rules?

  • @Mutoisu I can't answer. Send

  • That was a Echizen shot

  • That was the most amazing point i've ever seen

  • His gay dance after doing so spoilt it

  • Lmfao

  • Yeah I feel like this wouldn't count if someone did it today...

  • the shot was cool, his celabration was not

  • This is actually illegal in tennis lol.

  • So Chuck Norris started with Tennis now?

  • Would like to see Federer do this ツ

  • im pretty sure its illegal for the raquet to leave your hands during a rally

  • @pumpkinheadjrb Its only illegal if your racket hits the ball while its not in your hands. You can drop it at anytime when you're not hitting :)

  • dosent the racket need to be in your hand for the shot to be legal?

  • Great video!

  • @oryxfreeride Should it be illegal to accidently lose your racket out of your hands?:(

  • mesmo se isso n valeu, foi incrível

  • hahaha pasao a porlaputa :D

  • I'm pretty sure (at least since a good bunch of years) that in order to score a point the raquet MUST be in your hands.

Maybe they created the rule after this game.

Anyways, I've always wanted to do that.

  • Former American No.1 tennis ace Jimmy Connors on a senior tour in 1991, produces the winning shot out of thin air. Today this is not a legal shot as rules state the racquet must be in the player's hand at moment of contact. But at the time it was legal, as long as the player caught the racquet before it hit the ground, as Connors did.

  • What a gay move tho, had it missed he would've looked like an idiot. Don't throw the racquet lmao, never. It's something a child would do.

  • @tapp3r

Come on. You're only jelous... and have a deep underlying wish to be a gay man.

  • @HurburBurbur Shut up, noob. Learn something about sports, then come back. And drop the homophobic stuff, kid. Throwing the racket in any sport is lame.

  • @tapp3r

    Touchy subject, huh

  • 100 bucks says he cant do it again

  • Can he do that!? Seems like cheating.

  • mouahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaha!! REspecT!

  • This video doesnt have enough views

  • this is 100% hack, kick him !!!

  • all skill

  • Lol 0:06 "Haters gonna hate"

  • @bijoukaiba Only retards use the word "hater"

  • kinda funny how he does reloading thing like he just took a shot ....

  • great connors.

  • Could have catched the racked in a cooler manner :P

Even though its a lucky shot

  • perfect judgement

  • HAHAHHAAH was that a power rangers celebration!!!!!? HAHAHAH! lmao :D

  • Well, it doesn't really count in a match... but you have to admit, he has style. What kind of style, that's up to you.

  • Genius! Awesome! Amazing! Great!

  • sick man?

  • LOL FUCKING AMAZING

  • I thought this only happened in Mario tennis

  • LOL that's awesome

  • he must have been in the zone to dance like that

  • There's a huge amount of luck involved to hit the ball and get it to land on the other side of the net, but kudos for pulling it off.

  • 10 people tried this and failed

  • it was going out...but nice talemt

  • 7 people dropped the racquet on the dislike button while attempting this shot.

  • wtf is with his reaction

  • lol I've tried to do this shot numerous times and it has never worked for me.

  • @Rafathaman94 you dont realize how many times ive tried aswell XD

  • Before Kill Bill or The Matrix there was Jimmy Connors.

  • fuck jimmy connors

  • @moishele327 the tennis rule book clearly says that you have to have contact with the racket in order for the point to count.

  • @volound It's not legal now, but it was back than. You just have to catch the racket on its way down.

  • What are the chances of that happening?!?

  • chuck norris
