Uhm they're making it seem like Show Choir is considered awesome in America. No. You may think it is if you're in one, but we get hell for it in my school, i don't know about anyone else.

Maine show choirs are so different. We do actual entire broadway shows, but they can only be a certain amount of time, and if they are too much broadway and not enough choir, you get points off. We have to build sets to go with our singing too. In fact, we're so different that Maine Show Choirs don't compete for national titles.

This whole special really frustrates me, they didn't make any effort to showcase traditional show choirs from other parts of the US. Schools in California are NOT performing traditional show choir shows, like they said, they are productions. I was in a show choir with no props, no back drops, and only tuxedos and dresses for costumes, that's what real show choir is. Not this crap.

@LoneliestKing , yes SC used to be that way. But in my small town of 14,00 in central Iowa, my daughter's Show Choir group...Side One had 5 costume changes last year and this year have 4..including dressing for MJ " Thiller" song as Zombies..a lot work involving in the changes and make up. Just point that out for ya. Times are changing.

Rankings and national championships should not be taken seriously because there are so many "national championships" throughout the east, mid west, and So Cal we all know it doesn't really mean anything

Greece Athena is possibly the best East Coast choir, but not in the top 40 nation wide. Sorry but East Coast show choir is 20 years behind the Midwest.

How come I've never heard of Athena? Oh wait, I live in the Midwest, the main hub of show choir. Our show choir has never competed against them...where do they compete? Oh, and winning 2 National Championships is cool and all, but it's not like "Woah that never happens" b/c there are several national championship competitions around the country. Right now, on the rankings, Clinton is #1.
