I was lucky enough to meet Spike in the mid 90's, he was definately 'as advertised' and what you see was what you got. A very funny man, if not slightly mad.

john cleese made the original planters advert . but was banned before it got to air . so they got spike to make this one. johns has been show;n on a bloopers show in oz if anyone has it please put it out so we can have a laugh. i think it was an anti planters advert that he done as well as a protest

They left off the last one - Cleese reads a legal notice from Planters dissociating themselves from the commercials, and announcing a competition to create a new campaign and find a better host. Cleese says that he liked the ads, so did his aunt. He says that the crew also liked them, to which the crew yells agreement - Cleese then turns back to camera and says "So it's 'yah boo sucks' to Planters The Pretzel People!!"..
