@StickFro Um, Michael Bay is the only director of those 4 that puts a lot of explosions in his movies. Cameron and Nolan are not the same type. The former focuses on entertaining through action and story telling while the latter focuses on interesting plots and character development.

Yeah! That's awesome! I didn't know you saved all that footage for this. But did you all ever get in trouble for collecting all this footage to make this video? I mean, do you need to get permission for those clips?
And if Michael Bay did it, there would be land mines on the field. And the uprights would explode after every kick. A touchdown would mean dropping 20 pounds of explosives on the field.
I feel like they missed the point with Tarantino. That's a Kill Bill parody, not Tarantino.
If they wanted to do Tarantino it'd be funny if they showed two players talking on the sideline for ten minutes, then 20 seconds of the game in fast forward.
The largest problem with Tarantino's is that's how they cut every single football promo, sans the anime interlude... but maybe with a CG giant robot (if you're watching FOX).
The Andersen was pretty good. The Godard was spot on; pretty hilarious.
I love Tarantino so much, but I felt his part was one of the worst. Lynch's part was pretty bad too, with the backwards dialogue that he always uses. The best was the Wes Anderson version, it was the only one where the music, the shots, and his signature prologue/titles came together perfectly. Herzog is a nut. I love him. Would love to see what Harmony Korine would've done with this.
This is some of the most creative new video work I've seen in a while--since that hilarious animated short about Doc Ellis of the Pittsburgh Pirates pitching a no-hitter against the Padres while on LSD (a must-see). Props to Slate magazine's new video page for funding and distributing innovative stuff. This is a perfect example of why television sucks and is going to crash and burn while we all dance around the fire.
no. One of the most famous directors and most popular directors of this generation has tricked people into thinking that Kill Bill is the only movie that he has ever made.
His other movies are cult gems, that only really in the know, hip people have discovered. It's not like he's ever won or been nominated for any major awards which would have exposed them to the public.
And Inglorious Basterds which has Oscar noms and Golden Globe noms. And Reservoir Dogs, that any semi film buff would know.
Yeah I was being sarcastic... People who are QT fans like to pretend like they're the only people that see his cool movies, but really everyone has and they're not being unique and interesting.
Final pass and the run towards the goal and then the players following him start to explode...Then the referee explodes...Then the grass catches fire...Then the seats collapse...Then benches explode....and then the touchdown with a big boom leaving a crater in place of the "O"!!!!!!
Don't even go there. I'm even subscribed to DLFTV. (David Lynch foundation television) The Tarantino one is easy. But they managed to fuck that one up.
It should have been great.
The lynch one, they should have done it in black and white like Eraser head.
And then throw a scene from stock footage of a slaughter house. This video grabbed ideas from Twin peaks and Kill bill. And did it poorly.

To EroBB,
I feel like you missed the point to the entire piece...
critically analyzing a parody from stock footage of
super bowl games is silly. Werner Herzog and
Quentin directed those movies and used
iconic symbols from them... appreciate
it for its hilarity.
