the sweep i think is pretty slick, but i dont see the finish working. kneebars are easier to control with one leg. two legs means theyll be stronger when it comes to them defending. allthough my coach does get me with the double kneebar, but then again he's 50 lbs bigger
@IGXXtreme Jiu Jitsu has so many techniques that you will always run into new moves all the time. No one person knows everything. There is so much out there to discover.
You know. The guy on the left (Matt). I swear i saw him the other day! He was parked across the road from a childrens play ground and he was wearing sunglasses but im SURE it was him.
@psychick99 i think in reality people react too fast and just the slightest movement will let u slide out. Not to mention once you get slippery, everything gets harder.
@bzterp I should have added that it works just fine from a stacking guard as well. You don't have to do a crab walk over to get a knee binding sweep. Hope that clears it up:)
@KaelinSaint Agreed. I always say that people should check out schools if they can. Our goal was to spread the Jiu Jitsu love. But, you'll need to roll with other blue belts and in some cases test for your belt to really know where you are at from a qualified instructor.
Love what you guys do, live in a place where there are next to no BJJ schools. And on top of that couldn't afford it anyway. Your videos let me and my friend practise and learn BJJ in our homes. I'd say we're close to blue belt now :)
Too bad about no close by BJJ gym and it's great that you're training. But until you're at a gym with someone who can rank you, you're a white belt, no stripes.
Nice finish for a sweep I use often. Thanks.

I really like this, but its odd that in my four years of rolling I have never seen this done before.

it works pretty well as a single leg knee bar from half guard too.

why doesnt anybody use this in the UFC?? seems applicable
psychick99 1 month ago
@psychick99 could be because there's not many BJJ guys that are successful in MMA as there are wrestlers.

Could you do a video on the knee bar from old school sweep? I always struggle with the transition.

could you please put up some footage of you guys rolling? and does the striking series continue any time soon?:)
great ideos!

people try to break/pass that way? Never seen that before, interesting option, although I would prefer an armbar or tomo nage style sweep
amurra8827 1 month ago
Is it possible to do this if someone is trying to slip out of a full mount? Could you shift your weight down and do the knee bar as they escape?
