  • hey Great Tutorial...but I have a problem that I would love u if u help me out with this..

    I have folowed all ur tutorial's steps, and whenever I render the grass ( with scanline ) I get the shadows on the grass completly black( the shadows casted by my "arch model ")...and in your videotutorial

    you don't get thouse black shadows like me,did you ever had this problem???

  • @eXcess007 // Hmm... it has been a while since I looked at this grass tute..... Your problem may be because you have the hair properties set to 'mental ray primitive' which will not work so well with scanline. Also, lighting systems are simplified when using scanline for hair/fur/grass. Check your lighting too.

  • damn...I can't follow ur tut...T_T I solved the shadow problem. now I cant manage the photoshop layers like you do, when I deselect the RGB channel and select the alpha, I lose the grass, I dunno know what to do, and I need to learn this urgently...T_T
