  • Kelly song came out first.

    Some people are stupid

  • So silly

  • wtf!!!! they sound diffrent stupid ppl

  • There is no "copy cat" in the house. Kelly Clarkson didnt know about the similarities between the songs until she heard the song "Halo"

  • they do not sound the same... are you people deaf...stop putting down kelly clarson. jesus.

  • similar beat, but they sound different! its not like she copied words from 'Halo' like JLS 'she makes me wanna' did with JLO 'on the floor.'

  • @55sexybaby no , they do sound the same, i still love them both, it's not Kelly's fault, but denying it is ignorant

  • wow, so the same bat, and one word thats the same? thats not copying...a lotta artists use the same beat and common words...like "remember" get used a lot lol why start drama over such a little thing?

  • i dont think so i mean the beat is kinda the same but not enough to put up a fuss

  • YOU KNOW WHY THEIR ALMOST THE SAME!! BECAUSE A TALENTED MUSICIAN/SONGWRITER WROTE BOTH SONGS!! Rhyan Tedder! <3

  • Kelly's came out first...???

  • Yes they sound alike but who cares! All songs sound the same anymore.. And I like Ryan Tedder more than Beyonce or Kelly combined anyway!!

  • No way Kelly would never do a thing like that she's so talented and in my opinion even more talented than beyonce!

  • This is bullsht. Of course, it's Tedder's music! How can they sound so different to each other. Inspiration from desperation? :|

  • the thing is all songs sound the same these days, they're just desperate for a story :L

  • Fact is: Tedder and Kelly recorded "Already gone" BEFORE he worked with Beyoncé on "Halo" (he didn't just co-write, he produced also). The latter simply hit the charts first, which was exactly why Kelly asked her record company not to release the song as a single. So, if anyone wants to blame anyone: BLAME TEDDER! Just listen to Leona Lewis' " Bleeding Love" and Jordin Sparks' "Battle Field", which he also did. Thanks a lot for the drama buddy...

  • la gente que acusa a kelly de copiar es idiota...tan solo el ritmo se parece...y ni eso, qué ganas de armar camorra coño

  • if the songs both had the same co-writer of course they are going to sound similar. BUT the songs are clearly different genres. its crazy to assume kelly copied beyonce

  • kelly would never do that she is awsome

  • Theyre very different, so its fine...no copy-catting, but I can hear the similarities. Its the co-writer. Like it was already stated, if you have the same co-writer, its gonna sound similar.

  • This really annoys me. It isn't like Beyonce is 100% original. She sampled 'Are you my woman?' by the Chi-Lites. Does it mean she copied them? Of course not. However, if Beyonce fans are going to accuse Kelly for ripping Beyonce off, that's just inane.

PS. I'm no Beyonce or Kelly Clarkson fan.

  • wow!!! really kelly copying Beyonce noooo i don't think so what about mrs big Beyonce half her songs she didn't write herself anyways i know must singers don't now days but i agree to disagree

  • This is awesome because I heard the two on the radio and heard similarities, putting them together in my head, so guess I wasn't crazy. But both are different in their own ways...I don't think anyone copied the other. They're two separate songs. C:

  • Umm Where the fxck is the similarity in those to songs? RETARDZ ! Yhu jus tryin to blame kelly 4 something she didnt doo... whatever i love both songs either wayy so haters can smd

  • If you have the same co-writer on both projects around the same time, of course they are going to be similar. No foul play here.

  • @55sexybaby We should all be asking 'whyyouwannabringherdown' LOL!!! I agree with you

  • @55sexybaby actually kelly was pissed about the tracks. she didn't know that he had provided the same backing track that beyonce used on halo. she was pissed that he didn't at least try to make an effort and be original with the song. Basically she was unhappy with the fact that tedder was lazy. She felt cheated, and rightly so.

  • Nope. Kelly didn't copy Beyonce did. I saw. It's true.

  • Honestly it does not matter. Cause Beyonce copies people as well. Yeah they do sound alike. But who cares? Beyonce herself is not even original. Just look at this video called "Beyonce - The BIGGEST COPYCAT (PART 1)." There are even part 2 and 3 to the making. I like Beyonce and all but I feel like a lot of people have their heads up Beyonce's butt as if she does not copy. She is not original.

  • They both have a similar chord progression. As soon as I heard "Already Gone" I couldn't help but feel I heard it before. It isn't Kelly's fault because her producer worked on both songs. The songs aren't exactly the same but I think it shows a lack of creativity on her producer's part. To work with two mainstream artists and nearly repeat yourself like that is kind of ridiculous. Both songs even share the "Remember...." lyrics. Oh well. Not that big of a deal anywayst no one stole anything.

  • doesn't even sound the same! once again they start bitching about something that is so unnecessary!

  • Haha bullshit(:

    Who cares? I don't. They're both amazing.

  • jahjah & they both start with remember

  • @novalesvergaweii

    yeah, exactly.

"remember those walls I built?" -- beyonce

"remember all the things we wanted?" -- kelly

  • @TOxNEVERxANDxBACK

    tht sux :(

  • they should blave the believers because they didnt copy wth its soo differet

  • whoever that bitch who said there's a copy cat between both songs is a STUPID IDIOT! BOth songs are great!!!

  • it's the drums!

  • I really dont care. Halo's a good song. Already Gone is a good song. Im glad they put Already Gone on the album i still love it up to this date :)

  • Hey you bitch! 2 Mio cash by Ghadaffi in 2010. Give th money back to the people! You fools!

  • they should be blamin kelly clarkson for having the same song yall should be blamin yall selves for noticin

  • they sound the same but are about completly different subjecys its like cheryl coles fight for this love and K-Ci & JoJos all my lifes backing sound the same in some parts

  • Ryan Tedder from One republic actually wrote both songs

  • I like both, and the beats are different.

  • ikr i like both songs to lol this is retarded

  • ARE YOU GUYS RETARDED....OBVIOUSLY NOT IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.....THIS JUST IN RYAN TEDDER WROTE BOTH SONGS OF COURSE THEY ARE GOING TO SOUND SIMILAR

  • They are both great songs...Leave it at that ...

  • They're definitely the same arrangement. He either consciously did two different variations of the same arrangement or was unconsciously going off the same themes. But to call it a ripoff either way is kind of ridiculous considering that the songs were written by the same person.

  • thats fuckin stupid..the tapes had no resemblece..or wat every song that has a sort of slow beat is a copy ..plz.. people r lame ..kelly love ur song.nd beyonces to but they r way diffrent

  • both songs are diffrent there is a little tune but thats it! So clevver tv SHUT UP

  • I didn't notice that to be honest.

  • Both songs are beautiful, both ladies are beautiful singers.

  • nah, I didn't see any similarity. =/ the video didn't even look the same, kelly is laying on a couch, and beyonce is standing up and with a guy in the video. for like a slight second at the beginning the song sounded close but not really. this was stupid to even care about. they're both great singers, not copy cats. and sorry, just gotta say it...that lady talking was annoying XD just a little bit lol

  • Why fighting over something stupid? Like COME ON!!!

They're BOTH uhhmazzingg singers!! Wheather copied or not, I dont care. Because the both of the two songs has its OWN diffferent variety to its music taste.

  • i never noticed the similarites.... i think it's ridiculous. it's not like they were singing the same words and lyrics. give me a break, i enjoy both songs and now they want to ruin the reps of someone.... get a life and just enjoy the music!

  • bee is still the best !

  • I love Kelly and I love Beyonce too! If it same! I'm really HAPPY! They both are like sisters to me (: Plus Lady Gaga (: Btw the only same is the start " Remember " WTF lame bloggers.....

  • @Hisharo It's about the music not the lyrics... the music is about the same but recorded with different instrument. But I don't care if it really is the exact same music

  • they are both beautiful woman amd very talented but why cant the world forever be in peace? we are all equel and mature enough to know that a song speaks for itself and with me saying that there really isnt copying its just changing and being creative

  • wats the big deal? they sound nothing alike

  • @cassiloca the backing music has basically the same notes and tempo, just with different instruments / beats. that's the whole controversy. i personally love both songs as well as both kelly and beyonce, i really could care less. you can place the vocals on the other track's instrumental and they fit perfectly. there are some videos of it on youtube. i don't think people should really be making such a big deal about it, though. just shut up and enjoy the amazing songs.

  • different beat, different genre, totally fine. love both songs

  • @moua64 no? theyre both slow songs....Kelly's song has the same beat...just its quieter! listen...

  • @moua64 DIFFERENT GENRES!!!!!! clearly your hearings is impaired!

  • ahah not ripped off.

    i can tellll.

  • @o0dancingB0o UH NO BOTH SONGS ARE VERY DULL!!

  • Doubt it was ripped off.

  • well i dont really care about the similarity, i love both songs. all i gotta say is that that republic guy is a good writer, ive heard other songs from leona lewis that he wrote and they are amazing

  • hahahahahahaha why do people always blame the singers for how their music sounds? THE PRODUCER (Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic) is the one to blame LOL

  • they kinda have similar beats but not exactly the same...but they are completely different songs. so idk what the big deal is

  • They have the exact same beats to the song, probably because they had the same composer help them with the songs, but who cares, its not like they have the same exact lyrics in there songs!!! I LOVE BOTH SONGS, SO TO BE IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER, just saying.

  • @shilahsmama1204 I totally agree!

  • omg theyy have the same beats but totalyy diferent lyricss

  • The guy who worked on both the songs admitted he gave them the same backing track

  • i think they are super similar. i didn't even notice this until now.

  • yes they are similar.

  • I don't think they sound alike at all. The beginning starts out with a three phrase build up but Halo's more melodic and interesting. Already There seems to be missing the climax that Halo has. No comparison. Both good singers but Halo is a better song.

  • the two artists were given very similar sounding tracks from the same producer and wrote two totally different songs. the fault lies with the producer if anybody, but this is pop music, not life and death people!

  • @uncoverbrother ... you're exactly right. we should be celebrating the fact that artists can take 2 similar sounding tracks and make 2 different massively successful hit songs out of them. It's a lot better than bands taking the same basic track and writing new lyrics to it 20 years later (bon jovi, hint hint!!) ha ha

  • @theAbeElement No, what people need to be doing is realizing that neither one of them wrote any of this stuff but it was One Republic's Ryan Tedder who wrote both, hence the similarities, hence the confusion. It's completely mental people are debating this issue without mentioning One Republic, as THAT's the main creative talent behind both songs.

  • @theAbeElement amen!

  • they sound completely different except..well except nothin. Not the same.I can't even buy into this drama

  • Sorry but sound nothing alike lol, it's just paparazzi trying to make a story from something small to something big. Waste of time and waste of stardom.

  • They do sound a bit the same, but that doesn't mean Kelly copied Beyonce. This is a bunch of shit. I hate it when people take little shit like this and turn into big stuff like this and ruin reputations of signers. It's not right.

  • They're both really different singers, I don't understand how people can compare those two songs because personally they sound completely different!

  • a lot of songs have the same beat and meaning but what they dont have is the same words and i like both of there songs

  • there totally fuhking different

  • they're complete opposites ... literally (the lyrics at least). and who cares if the beat is similar? how many other artists sound exactly the same as another with at least one of their songs?

    too many to count.

both talented artists and beautiful women. the end.

  • I personally don't think they sound really anything alike......

  • They both are good songs, But I like the energy in Kelly Clarksons Already Gone single.

  • Stupid comparison.

  • People just need shit to talk about, really both songs are amazing if the words were similar then perhaps benefit of the doubt... but hey that just my opinion

  • they sound the same, but that doesnt mean that anyone copied or anyone got ripped off. so what? they sound a little alike. that doesnt mean anything.

  • they don't sound the same :S

  • I wanna see those two Texans doing oil wrestling to find out who sings the original version. :)

  • i think kelly clarkson is better, she looks so much more beautiful and a amazing voice! and the song lyrics are completely differnt, only a few things are similar, like the instruments and a few other things but the singers are differnt and thats all that matters

  • Ryan Tedder laughing all the way to the bank

  • Both are composed by Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic, and the chords (probably the chorus), Kelly Clarkson "Already Gone" was similar with Beyonce "Halo."

  • it may sound similar but it's not the same and they didn't even copy each other.

  • I dont think anyone copied.

The songs dont sound similar to me.

  • you can't copyright chord changes, only beats and notations. so basically when i write a song using the D C G chord changes and it becomes famous, Lynyrd Skynyrd can't sue me for "copying" sweet home alabama or some nonsense like that. only if i used the EXACT same riffs throughout the entire song could the sue.

  • ummmm, yall serious???? lmao..... people need to get over it.. they don't sound a like to me at all...and if the fact they had the same producer..well then DUH.. makes sense.. almost every song Neyo produces for artist sounds a like but nobody is saying they copied each other right? it seems to happen a lot with music and producers...it's this guys style that's all..

  • Kelly co-wrote her song so I guess she made way more job than copycat Beyonce who imitate other artists like Shakira, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Tina Turner, even Britney Spears. Who cares about fakes like Beyonce

  • oooh, world's going to end just cos one penis of a guy sold the same record twice and totally ignored the singer's. its a creepy little thing called 'money' and 'the music business.' i thought it was called clever tv?

  • who cares...they both are great artists...

  • wtf? Nobody copied anybody!

    btw, Beyonce is the best

  • i dont know why ppl are trippin' artist recycle beats, it always happens.

    get over it.

  • There alike but Kellys song is way nicer than beyonce but there both good

  • The similarity is the "Style"! and every writer has a particular style they made a Mountain out of a molehill here, jeez two good songs in my opinion ;)

  • beyonce copies alot so might as well get in her face :DDD

  • what friggin similarity?

  • It was written by the same guy .. .. so apparently, like most "artists" he just writes the same song over and over

  • yea i can somewhat hear the similarities but it is nothing so big to go "OMG She copied me!" both are great songs in my opinion and the topic of each song are on the opposites of the spectrum. really nothing to worry about. As for the guy meh i don't care. everyone has their own style n his is probably that slow piano violin tune we hear.

  • its the guy who wrote the songs fault

  • Who cares? They're both amazing songs :)

Kellys and Beyonces have a similar tune but about different things so it suites most people.. When I am all "inlove" i'll listen to halo.. and when i'm all "heartbroken" i'll listen to alrready gone it's simple ::) <3

  • I can't see how they sound the same..

  • WTFreak? Similarities? Maybe. Similar? NOT EVEN! They have two totally different feels and different lyrics! What's the big deal? This is just like when Miley Cyrus was accused of ripping off "Sunglasses At Night" in her song "See You Again" because of the similarity in one stupid line (i.e. I've got my sight set on you..."). Grow up people!

  • there are some similarities, but I dont think that anyone copied anyone because nowadays this sound is actually really popular, but I think that Ryan Tedder was inspired bby Beyonce's Halo.

And can someone SHOOT THE F****** HOST ALREADY??!

  • already gone was actually made b4 halo. one republic lead singer produced the track and used the same back track

  • it doesnt even sound that similar because theyre both in differetn tune its not that big of deal at leats she didnt saeal the exact words

  • They dont sound a like at all....

Just Propaganda to get you to listen !

  • they kinda sound familiar but it doesnt really matter to me

  • thats so stupid i don't think anyone copied anyone! they don't even sound alot alike!

  • does it really matter? regardless of the "similarities" both of them are going to get pay checks and royalties from the songs any. i like both songs myself.

  • the producer is funny. make double the money of one song. and he got around the intellectual property laws? give him some points for that.

  • If you look on both stars' VEVO pages on YouTube, you'll see that Beyonce' posted Halo just one day after Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone was put up. I do believe that it was Ryan's fault, being co-writer of both songs. And also, I noticed the piano in the background of each song was different, but all else was similar. Neither Kelly nor Beyonce' should be blamed for 'copying', also it's not like one used the same lyrics. If the track was used & the lyrics were changed, then she made it her own.

  • well if they were reall artist this would have not happend. serously what happend to the old write your own music sing your own music no technolgy stuff.

  • it was the guy, 95% sure

  • I like them both.yup,nobody coppied anybody.

  • its tottaly beyonces fault i mean, i never lisened to halo its my first time so i like already gone better. it DOSENT matter who you like you know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • No copy cat they sound completely different

  • Kelly sings with feelings in her voice. That's the big difference.

  • kelly rocks. that is all.

  • hant you noticed what they are saying is all in the discription? As if they memorized it lol

  • This is idiotic. And I can't stand that blonde woman.

  • Its actually not illegal, as long as the meaning of the song is completly differant, its all fair game, you know how many songs are out the with the EXACT same chord structure, so whats this issue? Wouldnt it be an awesome Mashup? Take Happy birthday for example, that is an actual copywritten song, and it gets paid royalties for whoever uses it to promote businesses, think about it, differeant restuarauts have their own versions of happy birthday, because they can use it legally that way.

  • nobody copied anybody!! both songs are different!!!!!!!!!

  • This is a stupid debate. Both are great artists both made millions from this song. And all the fans got to hear some fantastic music....What is the problem???

  • So...when you don't write your own songs you can't be accused of copying someone else. Beyonce' and Kelly can sing but they're just the same as the percussionist and the keyboard player and the engineer...They're just people the record label gets to perform other people's songs. Just hired help. Beyonce' and Kelly are just voices and faces and not the "artist" at all.

  • @DrChubby hold up. If you were smart you'd know that Clarkson wrote the melody and lyrics to the song. Kelly is not a puppet.

  • Does it matter who copied what from who because but songs are very dry & mediocre anyway.

  • instead of complaining, why dont we just use this to do sick duets and sing the songs atop each other..... just saying

  • Both songs were written by the same guy! No one copied! He just wrote 2 similar songs with different lyrics!

  • no one copied its the dude that ripped them off

  • it wasnt kelly's or beyonce's fault it was that stupid guy and she was right to point her finger at that dude

  • I think they sound nothing alike.. plz stfu from now on about this. What an idiotic comparison.

  • @strongmf thank you for typing that so i didnt have to lol

  • ffff wow kelly makes a song that sounds maybe a lil like beyonces and you have to make some huge deal out of it and make some assumtion that someone ripped off someone? =w= there both amazing singers they already have enough publicity without some "vs" shit

    thumbs up if you agree!

  • Beyonce likely heard what he did with Kelly liked it, stole it, and released it first to make it look like she was the originator. She is well know to pull crap like that. Just look at her history THIEF!

  • @stallion321 -shrugs-

i dont really see how it matters there both amazing singers/artists,

im not saying anythings right or wrong but i have great respect for both of the too.

  • doesnt sound at all ike beyonc'es song. l love beyonc'e i love this song snd the way clarkson does it better, i listen to it continually. a taer jerker. she sings it much better. besides the same person wrote it so what's the beef? just enjoy them both /love it kelly/ her vione in fanaminal.

  • Nobody copied anybody : is right....

  • Sounds like each other...What kind of crap is this!

  • it doesnt matter any ways . its not a problem with a lil similarity

  • it's just the first fwe line ...who cares ...no copy cat thing ..if this is what they are using then everybody is a copy cat .....

  • I DONT HEAR IT EITHER WTF!

  • shut up bitch...you're talking to much

  • same co writer is going to have similar notes. its that simple.

  • omg there both good singer

  • this is qay theyre nawt the samee ... they both have different lyricss & they are both qood sonqs .

  • beide songs sind SCHEISSE und mir isses egal welcher kopiert is oder nich.

  • there is no copy they are just trying to propagandize Clarkson's song.

  • This is what I think: One is a relationship starting, the other, a relationship ending. How on Earth are these the same????

  • both songs are awesome

  • all one republic songs sound the same

  • when i heard kellys song for the first time all i though was "turn this louder its halo" lol definetly copied!!

  • beyonce did not invent that hairstyle...smh

  • Eventually, every song will have to be a copy of another. There are a limited number of notes in the scale so it is a mathematical certainty that every combination of notes will eventually be used.

  • Halo sucks. Love Already Gone!!! Go Kelly!!!

  • Doesn't matter, they're both amazing. Why're you making such a big deal out of it?

  • these things does happen....sometimes two songs released at the same time and with some parts having some similarities seems to be a rip from the other but these are not new things in the music industry anymore. no one to blame here....

  • Beyonce and Kelly worked with the same guy, Kelly told him not to release it. But he did, and Kelly's song was made first, so beyonce is wrong.

But it doesn't matter because the two of them both got other fans :)

    I <3 kelly clarkson music :)

  • i think nobody copys someone because the songs are diffident from itch other

  • kelly clarkson is the best! and already gone is waay better than halo anyway. plus, kelly wrote the song first before beyonce.

  • oh wow just the back round beats are the same get over iht.!!!

  • they have the same song writter...nobody copied anybody

  • There really is much too worry about at all, listening to the two songs, I didn't even notice until it was pointed out, two different melodies, I've heard songs so much more alike! :P this shouldn't be a problem.
