College is a scam now. Most students want to get into the best rated universities, which oddly always end up being the most expensive. I say, decide on your degree, and attend the cheapest university to get it. Because, at the end of the day, the bulk of the burden of learning is on you, and not on your professors. Most of them don't know what they're talking about anyway.
I went to a community college at night for a year and half, took all the computer classes and quit. Total tuition costs to me? Less than $1,500. I have since been gainfully employed as a software engineer, and have been in the 6 digit salary range for over 15 years now. How did I do this? Working hard, studying while my friends partied, and always made myself an asset to whomever I worked for. It's simple.

Apologies; not everybody has the luxury to be able to attend a College. I was offered a opportunity, and advised to take it but I rejected simply due to the student-loans. I dislike being in any type of debt whatsoever. 200,000USD is quite the sum of money. She should have been more careful, as well as with a plan on how to pay it off. Atleast she has a house and a job. I know people who would like simply that, a house and a job.

College is a scam now. Most students want to get into the best rated universities, which oddly always end up being the most expensive. I say, decide on your degree, and attend the cheapest university to get it. Because, at the end of the day, the bulk of the burden of learning is on you, and not on your professors. Most of them don't know what they're talking about anyway.

I went to a community college at night for a year and half, took all the computer classes and quit. Total tuition costs to me? Less than $1,500. I have since been gainfully employed as a software engineer, and have been in the 6 digit salary range for over 15 years now. How did I do this? Working hard, studying while my friends partied, and always made myself an asset to whomever I worked for. It's simple.
