My favorite SOI opening number ever.. such a great cast that year!! This was not only the first of many SOI shows I saw live, but the very first skating show I ever saw live! I can still remember every emotion I had, even just watching a video if it, I can remeber the exact way I felt when I saw it live! I love the music, the costumes, and the choreography to this number so much. I miss the days of skating like this. Definitely the best SOI opening, IMO!

I saw this live both in Toronto and Seattle! One of my favorite SOI I've seen. For me the mid to late 90's were truly the golden age of skating. I wish most of these skaters were still skating. I'm selfish for wanting them to skate forever! Simply the best!
Stars on ice now is not the same like it used to be. Watching this almost made me cry. I have such great memories of watching stars on ice on tv. I miss all the old skaters. Agreed that this was the best cast ever besides the cast of 2000.

That had to be so hard, Katia's first full tour without Sergei. I tear up at the audience's reaction to her "arrival" every time. I think Katia's handled the loss with more grace and maturity than I have! *winks*
I would die if the old cast got back together! But I would include Katerina Witt.I would LOVE that, and actually I sent a letter to stars on ice last year about that.
I miss the old days of Stars on Ice with the gang! Stars on Ice isn't the same without Kristy, Kurt, Scott and the gang!

Ah the good old days of SOI. Brings back such wonderful memories. The days of Kristi, Kurt, Scott, Paul, Roz, Bechke/Petrov, and Katia were the best.
