When the iPad was first announced, I was hoping it would be more like this. Just a regular Mac that's a touch-screen tablet. I still wish it was that. The iOS interface is great for iPhone and iPod Touch, but the iPad would be soooooo much better if it just ran the regular Mac OS (modified to include touch compatibility, of course).

And the option of a physical keyboard would be nice too. Touch-screen keyboards can be annoying... too easy to press a wrong key.

Not that I don't like my iPad.

Nice concept and animation, but I don't think Apple will ever make a device that has multiple input methods (i.e. touch screen / mouse or touchpad+keyboard) at the same time. If they did, they could not optimize the user interface to be perfect for all of them at the same time. An implementation with alternative user interfaces would be an option, but that wouldn't be very Apple-like. Also, the closing mechanism seems kind of half-baked (looks like it might break easily). Still, thumbs up :)

i don't know if the way all that stuff slides upside-down is very apple-ishi seems more like some gimmicky gadget man, not to be rude, I'm not able to do an animation as nice as this is, but focusingg on the design of the machine, u should redesign in a less mechanical way, a simpler way, this is too complex, but thumbs up the 3d model is very good keep it up
