I'm 25 and right now I'm studying classical sing in order to become an ópera singer. I started ballet lessons at 7 but got injured at 18 so I was forced to abandon ballet, i've trained violín,like said before operatic singing, hata and ashtanga yoga(when you have the ballet background yoga it's an amazing choice to stay healthy) and also perfom aerial silk but nothing is harder than ballet or requires that much discipline.
My balletteacher has owned her studio in almost 25 years and there has been only one boy that danced there for a little while! Why do every boy around here think that it's gay to dance? It's not!
@bolshoiboy8 Yes you are right and let me add that also if we took a look to ballet history when ballet started to be popular in the Louis xlv court only the men can dance. Just like the castrati singers in the ópera cause women weren't allowed to sing...actually women weren't allowed to do any kind of public act besides a marriage.
cuz theyre stupid and are gonna end up at walmart with a crappy marriage n three kids and/or a job at the local dunder mifflin i hope that life suits them well.
I studied for 10 years beginning at age 10. For various reasons I chose not to pursue a professional career, but I wouldn't change that part of my life for anything. The value it added to me as a person will stay with me for the rest of my life. It's a glorious feeling that cannot be compared to anything else. I highly recommend it to Adult Beginners, even just for excercise. Here in NYC, there are many studios that offer these classes, so take advantage if you live here.
How lovely that you love ballet! Dancing is talent or it may look like gym. Just by loving what dancers do is the best support to them and to yourself. I called them in support of their hard work. It was lovely. You can even write a letter. It was hard for me to pick up the phone but worth.
Well do something about it. It is never too late to attend adult beginners classes if you can find a dance studio. I taught adult beginners for a year and they got a lot out of it, even just the experience of getting to dance something when they thought that they couldn't.
I am 22 years old started adult beginner classes about three months ago. I am already a lot stronger and more flexible. Not to mention my posture which has improved A LOT:) So go ahead, find a studio, it`s never too late
*sigh* i sometimes wish it was still the time when this film was shot

ballet is more manly because it takes true dedication and sacrifice not playing in the street like a hoodlum.

Not exactly, but it was filmed about ten years ago

In my opinion, it's at least 15 years ago, judging by the physiques of Mr Dupond and Vu An. I'd say late 1980s even...

Ballet is wonderful. I regret the fact that I didn't study ballet when I was younger because I'm naturally quite flexible. ='(
