我也是約三十年前在軍中廣播電台徐凡的節目聽到David Castle的原唱，立即被其旋律與歌聲所感動，但是當時未能聽­清楚原唱者的名字。從電台轉錄的雜音處處的錄音帶版本跟隨我二十­幾年。後來聽到齊豫的翻唱CD版本，也是非常動聽，只是讓我更想­知道原唱是谁，方便我去找他的CD，可惜齊豫的CD提供的歌詞對­作者卻隻字未提。感謝網路，我終於在去年知道這首歌的原唱是Da­vid Castle；感謝youtube，終於再次聽到完整的原唱本。­真懷念徐凡及其節目，她讓我愛上搖滾樂，也讓我認識了少數可以讓­我一聽再聽的抒情歌曲(Ballad)。

Both versions are great... of course David Castle is fantastic... but I personally love the way Chyi Yu tells a story... I'm Costa Rican and the first time I heard this song was from a Malaysian friend... Wore the old tape out...

I'm not sure if I'm the only one here who loves this version of this song a lot more than the original version .. The whole arrangement has a beautiful afternoon-tea quality to it , the female singer took her time to tell the story in a slow-brew intimate style - the piano interim adds an exquisite touch to the poetic feel of this lovely song.. exquisite ..

@musicboxforever Like rwr11, I, too, have been looking for that version. It comes off an album called "Cassels In The Sky" by David Cassel. I'd begun to think I was dreaming, when nobody seemed to know of it. I heard it only once on the radio, featured on the 'future hit' segment of a UK-derived Top 100 show. Never heard it again! That was somewhere in the late 70's early 80's. I just remember it as a GREAT-SOUNDING BALLAD. If you ever find it, pls let us know. BTW, gr8 vid. Thx for posting

@EarlO100 The original singer is David Castle, not Cassel. It was on his album "Castle in the Sky" by Parachute Records. There were a few good songs in that album too. I'm also hoping someone will post it. In the meantime, we can still make do with this wonderful version....

@rwr11 You're quite right, I stand corrected. As mentioned earlier, I had but 1 vague (but memorable) encounter with the song, so forgive me if my info was skeletal. (Somehow, though, I seem to remember the DJ making that specific distinction about the spelling of the names; 1 or both of us was wrong.) If you chk here on youtube 4 the single 'The Loneliest Man on the Moon' off the same album, a respondent claims 2 have the album and I suggested they post 'Lady on the Other Side of Town'. Cheers
