Fantastic! I was with you on that trail all the way. "The majority of this trail is not for the faint of heart." you ain't kidding! one false move and you're in cholla cactus or prickly pear OUCH! I'm thinking of joining but not know if y'all have a beginner program. Maybe I stick to jogging. Do you ever encounter the mountain lions on trails? Thanks for the video. Thanks for the ride!
@moniquemonicat Thanks so much! SDMB is made up of riders from all levels so we would welcome you to join. One of our own, Martha Lemen, is a mountain bike instructor and she loves to show beginners proper riding and bike handling techniques. In fact, our January "Last Saturday Ride" was a beginner's training ride. While there are mountain lions out there, and it's always good to be watchful, we've not encountered one. Still best to not ride alone, though. Hope to see you!
@johndpate Thanks for the trail-kudos, John! We're actually working on the website now and our new version will be even better. As to the video... yeah, understand that it's shaky. The videos were shot on a FlipHD mounted to a helmet. Unfortunately, the Flip we have doesn't have image stabilization, and there just is too much 'shake' for our editing software. We're working on modifying a chest mount system so hopefully that will reduce the shakes for future videos. Appreciate the feedback!

@johndpate We just ran our videos through YouTube's new "deshaker" and it's really improved them.
