Have you guys ever done a FN SCAR? I have a black one that I would LOVE to get in multi-cam. I only worry when I fold the stock to the receiver it would rub the finish off of the catch mechanism.

Hey Nutn' & Veri, I have an H&K USP9 in the states, In 04' H&K made 500 of each color of the USP Frame in OD, Gray & Desert Tan, I have a Black frame, but always wanted the "Desert Tan" frame, I would like to have my Frame Only Duracoated as close to the Factory Desert Tan as possible. But want the Trigger, Slide Stop/Take Down, Safety/Decocker, Mag release Bar on the Trigger Guard ect. to stay Factory Black, would I have to take it apart before sending it or will they?
Just curious, I am thinking of purchasing a Spyderco Endura 4 FFG in VG-10 Steel (Nutnfancy Recommended), and have also thought of sending it to missionspeccamo. I know Nutnfancy's big on jimping, so I wanted to ask if the bead blasting process will wear down the jimping to a degree where it will not be as effective as it was out of the box. Are there any non camo colors available for duracoat? ie; neon orange, pink, green, etc. My brother is an Exploror and training to be an EMT, and I want to duracoat both the flashlight and knife I got him so he can locate and access them alot quicker if need be. Thanks for all the vids!
@noticalmeff Ok, just got off the phone with Sadly. He says that they use 120 grit sandblasting (per duracoat) IF they are going to duracoat the surface, because it texturizes the surface and enables the duracoat to hold well. If they're not going to coat the surface in question, they can bead blast it. Hope that helps. -- Veri

@RockerRocco1 the DC will help but black is a heat absorbing colour, as to the solvents, Nutn' and sadly have been using DC for a while now and never said anything about solvents wearing the DC, just send an email to MissionSpec, sadly is great at quickly answering email's, hope that helps bro =]

@SgtSquidy I just sent in my Cold Steel "SPAAAAAAAARRRRTAN" as Nutn would pronounce it. I'm having the handle and blade done in the 2 color Sand Waves pattern. Will let the group know how it comes out as soon as I get it back.
Got the Spartan back and it looks awesome. Sadly's crew even blended the pocked clip into the black area of the sand wave design. Couldn't be happier with it. Now if I could only post a photo here...

I tried to get Duracoat shipped to Canada but they said they dont do that. Does anyone know why that is? is it something legal or do they just not wanna ship internationally? Also are there any good alternatives?
fyi Nutn' i would leave the bolt on the su-16 black, it fits the cammo, but i totaly agree on the AK, much larger bolt needed to be painted, just my .2 take care bro.
Hey Nutn. This is freakin' awesome! I'm a tanker in the US Army and getting ready to send my Fenix LD20 in for some ACU (or maybe mutli-cam if he does it) so it doesn't stick out as much. Maybe I'll tan it to match my tank. Lol. Would love to see yours done if you ever decide to do it.
All the more reason that I powdercoat my stuff. I can do it and make it look like it came from the factory. Check my channel for the video I did on the cargo rack for my bike.

@sadlymissing okay I was just curious. Legally speaking I am a big boy now and am going to be picking up a Mossberg 590 as soon as I move out. It's a good gun but I don't like the finish on it and would prefer some sort of matte grey or black to it. Parkerizing sounded slot like phosphating so I thought I would ask. But even if it's not I can still have you guys paint it one of those colors.

I don't need special camo or anything 1 colour is fine.
It's just that it looks like it'd cost me 150$ + on shipment and I risk having troubles with customs taxing me on the blade.

Is duracoating a barrel better than getting it blued? I need to do something with my SKS barrel. It's got some good scratches on it.

@RockerRocco1 DC/Duraheat will help keep the barrel cooler, and will be more effective in camouflage than having a balck/blued barrel =]

@RockerRocco1 the DC will help but black is a heat absorbing colour, as to the solvents, Nutn' and sadly have been using DC for a while now and never said anything about solvents wearing the DC, just send an email to MissionSpec, sadly is great at quickly answering email's, hope that helps bro =]

Got the Spartan back and it looks awesome. Sadly's crew even blended the pocked clip into the black area of the sand wave design. Couldn't be happier with it. Now if I could only post a photo here...

I tried to get Duracoat shipped to Canada but they said they dont do that. Does anyone know why that is? is it something legal or do they just not wanna ship internationally? Also are there any good alternatives?

fyi Nutn' i would leave the bolt on the su-16 black, it fits the cammo, but i totaly agree on the AK, much larger bolt needed to be painted, just my .2 take care bro.

Hey Nutn. This is freakin' awesome! I'm a tanker in the US Army and getting ready to send my Fenix LD20 in for some ACU (or maybe mutli-cam if he does it) so it doesn't stick out as much. Maybe I'll tan it to match my tank. Lol. Would love to see yours done if you ever decide to do it.

There is a company out of alaska that does this and has some good paterns. It's much cheaper to ship in the lower 48 and I support my TNP peeps.

@sadlymissing okay I was just curious. Legally speaking I am a big boy now and am going to be picking up a Mossberg 590 as soon as I move out. It's a good gun but I don't like the finish on it and would prefer some sort of matte grey or black to it. Parkerizing sounded slot like phosphating so I thought I would ask. But even if it's not I can still have you guys paint it one of those colors.

@kahrfan07 Dude, it might seem that way, but you got to remember that Nutn' and crew get 100's if not 1000's of requests on who ,sub's, should take their kit to to get all sorts of work done. Nutn' has answered these requests by showing us busniess's HE uses and Trusts, now also remember its not that big a community of Quality Tatical business's, so if it happens that some of the TNP pple have trustworthy business's why not allow us TNPer's to use them as well. just saying....
