Imagine leaving your house today,taking a few precious pictures and birth certificates with you, 3 sets of clothes,and when you come home,everything is gone.I mean EVERYTHING. How do you start over? I lost everything in St.Bernard when Katrina hit. St.Bernard is still demolishing homes,3&1/2 years later. Mine was demolished in July,2006. I didn't have the strength or courage to rebuild there. We moved across the lake. However my teenage son still has friends there,so we go a few times a year.

@molitor2005 I know how you feel we were trapped in chalmette high in st bernard parish with just a few of our belongings...we won't ever forget what we saw that day

i stayed at nunez community college a year ago as a relief effort. you are all still in my prayers. has anything improved down there?
