this is a ugly display of poor agriculture PLEASE don't judge an entire industry by what you see on this video! a lot of my customers have a lot of cows that are between 8 12 years old and very healthy and wouldn't be successful if they treated them like this!!! by the way I am a dairy service tech for over 300 successful farms in Wisconsin!!!
Bad auctions go on. And that isn't right. However I must side with my Dairy friends in saying that things barely go down this way! Most farmers aren't cruel to their animals, it's their livelyhood to take care of them duh! When cull cows go to auction they aren't suppose to be sick. The humane way to kill is still up for debate. However they do the best they can? If you think otherwise why don't you visit one of these places yourself and see how its REALLY done? I dare you.
Sadly, cattle aren't stupid. They are smarter than horses. In fact, they are much like dogs. They can feel love, pain, fear, and sadness. Dairy is one of the most cruel industries. Why an animal with a 20-25 year lifespan is so used up by the age of 6 that she is considered "unprofitable" and sent to these auctions where they are sold for slaughter is beyond me.
I cant fucking stand watching how they treat these animals. They need somone to teach those mother fucking bastards a lesson about how you treat a living thing. I dont fucking care if the animal may be dumb or not as good as a human but everything deserves to fucking live.Would god want this? NO he wouldent these people are going to BURN IN HELL!!!!!!!!
Ah! Another H$U$ fund raising video. HSUS truly only has one agenda: Tug at your heart strings and raise more money for HSUS. The donations raised never make it to help the animals. The name "Humane Society of the United States" has deceived too many donors for too long. They do not and have never been affiliated with any local animal shelters.
Was the cow brought into the salebarn or do you not know? Probably she was denied from coming into the salebarn, ended up on the deadpile. The barn help neglected to let any management know. Good help is hard to find. She would have been done away with if the right person was told. They run a lot of cattle at New Holland, it is hard to keep track of everything when you are not informed of what is going on.
the cow had been in the salebarn, she was brought out by the fork lift, side entrance, that is what the always do. we did finally find the vet, he had some one shoot her in the head, out side on the dead pile. several people have to cover the whole area. you have to have eyes in the back of your head. some one should always observe when the aucton closes. behind closed doors anything goes.
Oh they missed it. i have been to the cattle and horse. the auction had closed, the door of the cattle auction was open a crack, a bar across the door. i was walking away from the door and i heard the scream of the young cow. and looked through the cracked door and saw the man hitting the cow over the head again and again. when the auction closes, that is when the real abuse happens. it is what happens behind the closed doors. they have to know what is happening when the auction closes.
the live cow on the dead pile, we tired desperately to find some one to end her suffering. we got some one, they shot her in the head. she bled out a lot, it wasn't a quick kill. i can not say it enough, what goes on behind closed doors.
They have been to New Holland. Probably more than any other auction. The only problem they have had there was with the horses and that has changed for the better. This video footage is not of New Holland.
