@seedyrom34 I'm sure that high stall helped too lol. Once winter clears in my area looking to pick up a Z. Same basic setup as this but a few more mods, and a 5spd. We only have an 1/8 mi and it's a crappy track. Hell I don't even know where the closest 1/4 is lol
unfortunately you areacross the country. I hve ordered a few items from you and you did my chip for me. Currently doing another build so i will be ordering more in a cple of weeks.
@DVcustomZ No worries. At the time I was experimenting with some AMG/Mercedes fluid used on their 500hp+ fleet that worked quite well. Had switched to Royal Purple recently, which is also great.
Hey, can you tell me a little something about the 300z stock turbo's? I've read they are similar to the dsm t-25 stock turbo but the z has 2 of them. Any info would be great. Thanks
@JTsStang The turbine housing/flange is that of a T25 but the compressor housing is a TB22 with a T2 wheel, so it's not a standard Garrett T-25 in that regard.
For exact specs, check out ZTECHZ dot NET which has very detailed charts and specifications of our turbos as well as common upgraded versions.
Hey. I just purchased a 94 TT about 4 months ago. I want to put a good exhaust. Do you have any recommendations? Also, what is the difference between down pipes and test pipes? And should I put 3" or 2.5"?
@Carlosalbertouno Check out SpecialtyZ online for some of the best Z32 products out there, especially exhaust which is what they are known for.
The Z32 has two catalytic converters and two pre-cats before them that restrict flow an amazing amount. Downpipes replace the pre-cats which can be removed legally. Test pipes replace the catalytic converters, which are for "racing only", if you catch my drift. Doing both with a 3" exhaust system is a huge boost in power and response. Look into it!
@seedyrom34 Thanks for the info. I checked with Specialty Z and they're trying to charge me $2,890 (Dual Stillen Pop-Charger, 3" down pipes, 3" test pipes, and 3" cat-back exhaust, and installation). I think that's a bit much (very much, actually). Any other recommendations?
@Carlosalbertouno Actually it's not. You chose the top of the line 3" system all the way through, including the Dual Pop which requires a chip/re-tune and other components. Considering all the parts, labor, and huge power increase and throttle response that's actually quite a deal.
At the very least, you should consider the downpipes and catback, where quality is very important given the stress and benefits from them. Once you see those in person and feel the gains, you'll want the rest!
@THEEJoker Not saying it was easy but it's true! Good tires, a great launch and a properly tuned car make all the difference. The guys at SpecialtyZ did a great job.

@seedyrom34 Did you have the stock Injectors or did you have upgraded injectors?
RiceKiller191 4 months ago
@RiceKiller191 Stock injectors at the time. A little on the ragged edge admittedly but the tune was safe and I had octane to spare just in case.

@DVcustomZ Actually you probably meant Specialty Z. I'm just a client of theirs, not an employee so I didn't do your chip =)

no ecu tune or fuel mods either??

@jobedd At the time I just had a Jim Wolf ECU upgrade running 100 octane and a dyno tune with a simple Apexi AFC. I'll edit the list to note that.
