  • the best live concert yngwie ever done, and the best lineup he ever had! i still have this on vhs,i can remember reading yngwie was pissed at soto because he was getting most of the camera time.

  • 80's... sure all the songs sucked but definitely great hair everywhere

  • que significa kree nakoorie?

    does that mean kree nakoorie?

  • what meaning kree nakoorie?

  • Man, Yngwie was insanely supreme on his early days, nowadays he is just supreme...

  • Comment removed

  • Nice that you're all so nuts about Soto. Only problem is that the vocals are dubbed on the entire show. I have the old video too. Fake shit..... but like so many others I bet he couldn't cut it live.

Does anyone who actually saw him remember?

  • @ClonerKing actually i saw his show two eyears ago he was amazingly precise .great singer...for real.

  • @beroth77 I can believe that but I am afraid he tricked you good! After I made that post I went on to see if I could find other live stuff with him. There is plenty of it to be found - unfortunately evertyhing is dubbed to the point where I think he might even be miming on stage! I found a single unofficial clip and it sounded completely different. No power and out of key! Probably the reason he never made it very far....

  • @ClonerKing Man,you asked if someone have ever seen Jeff live, well lots of people here saw and mostly agree he is really great,i gues you have no idea of the quality of the musicians Malmsteen reunited. He was beggining to became a legend so he would never call anyone who was not a virtuoso to play with him.Jeff is a monster of a singer...i have bootlegs and all this stuff... it's all extremelly good.Guess you are becaming paranoid loll ,no ofense really. But you have to face the reality.

  • @beroth77 Well well, but reality is that when a vocalist dubs a live performance it's because something needs to be hidden. And when it happens consistently to the point where it's hard to track down any real live performance it doesn't take paranoia to realize that there is a serious problem!

Someone like good old Ronnie James (RIP) never dubbed a single performance in his 50-year career yet not one bad recording exists!

At least now Yngwie finally has a truly oustanding singer in Tim!

  • Jeff Scott Soto..just like Nazareth's Dan Mccafferthy hehe

  • @facundo98 what ypu mean "just like Dan mccaffertty"? Dan is a monster i saw 3 nazareth's shows the guy was about 60 and his voice was unbelivable strong.

  • Damn.. WHO's that singer!

  • @HOLYSTANG91 jeff scott soto. yngwie's best singer for sure :)

  • i wanna run my fingers thru jeff's hair (yummy) he's got such talent that is just mezmerizing!!!! you rock babe!!!!

  • who is Kree Nakoorie ? :))

  • There are Many Rock Guitarists out there But There is Only Yngwie J. Malmsteen. The Next Paganini The Violin Virtuso whom Yngwie tries to Immulate and Inspires to be.

  • Jeff Scott Soto, fuckin' rocks... What a singer....

  • Anyone else think Soldier Without Faith is Yngwies sweetest solo ever? That song owns!!!!

  • Jeff ALWAYS hits the notes. The guy was so rock solid for Yngwie. Jesus. I'm with you guys, I have that Rising Force Live '85 VHS tape too. Still on my bookshelf. Bought it new at the time. My late teen years learning guitar. It's an amazing piece of work. For whatever reason I can remember every note of every solo he's done through Trilogy and the same with Eddie through 1984. Unfortunately, I can't EVER re-create them but they inspire like no other.

  • @rackeffect Dito! If I could move my tounge fast enough I could sing every Yngwie solo! Love him :) Noboady a passionate! Can you say "Crying" "Little Savage" Way 2 many 2 list......

  • I saw Rising Force in the early 80s,and they were the opening act for Iron Maiden, and I think he played it well then.

  • It was already downhill in this video. His creativity was top notch in the Alcatrazz version. This one is not so brilliant :(

  • cool same with me

  • my dad bought that video around that time and passed it down to me soo fuckin good this guy is fuckn crazy

  • the master. I never heard this song before. wich album?

  • Its from a record called No Parole from Rock N Roll (1983) that Yngwie did with the Band Alcatrazz befor his solo debut. There is also a live recording with that band.

  • @Ynger63

imo, hiroshima is the best tune from alcatrazz '-'

  • i have it somewhere, but i don't know what it is called just Alcatraz live that matches this concert.

  • It's the CD called Alcatrazz Live Sentence, but it is a different concert. Tokyo 85 was only available as a live video (and together with an other concert in an edited version on DVD later on).

  • @Ynger63 Yngwie signed my Alcatrazz Live Sentence CD Cover back in October at Sam Ash!!!

  • I bought this videotape in 1987 or so....i never let it out of my sight at parties.... Soto used to live in Ft Collins CO I think, up the road from me.

  • I also bought it back than and saw the tape countless times. Im a huge fan since the very beginning. Hes well respected nowadays but in the eighties he was such an outstanding phenomenon!

  • / j.s Soto has a ggreat voice and a sense for it - he is really great today !!

    //

  • one of the greatest guitarist of all time

    i salute you

  • Soto has a great voice...one of his better singers....

  • In our youth,we tend to "over-do" things, simply because we can, whether it be playing notes, driving too fast, staying up all night, scoring too many points in a game---whatever. Don't hate Yngwie because he CAN play too many notes !!!

Oh, yeah-- And as for the "fat" comments: A lot of you young wankers will get pudgy with age, as well !!! And most of us aren't built like Yngwie to start with. He's well over 6 feet. What's a few extra pounds ? Peace :-)

  • whoa... well said my friend..

    as a yngwie fan

i'd like to see these kind of positive comments man

    Peace

  • GREAT performance!!

  • this song kicks all ass that there are. soto, yngwie rock all the way

  • awesome one the best solos ever !!!!

  • No Parole from rock n roll is a great album.

If only there was a CD version of these performances though..They sound so much better..

  • man this is a great performance, best lineup in my opinion, i wish jeff scott stayed in a little longer

    but anyway, fuckin awesome performance

  • im so tired of all whom do nothing but comment on his weight leave the guy alone he's a legend and deserves respect.

  • Yngwie means "viking" in Swedish. Any how, The guy is a Public relations prick (i.e. he can't stand his fans and is unapproachable, good for you Yngwie, yeah right !!!) But the guy can play a mean gutiar. After all a guitar by Fender is named after him

  • yeah joe lynn is the best he had and young yngwie rules

  • this rules...

  • Where is this song From?

  • Its from the record No Parole From RockNRoll and the name of the band was Alcatrazz. It was the band of the singer Graham Bonnet and Yngwie wrote all the songs for this album. There is also a live record called Live Sentence with an amazing performance of Yngwie. Very clear and dynamic sound with less distortion and effects. If you have the chance to get it I highly recommend that one.

  • Wow! Thanks!

  • A virtuoso at his best. Absolute control, beyohd class.

  • I think JSS was the best singer live and Goran Edman was the best in studio.

Listen to "Motherless Child" or "See you in hell(dont be late)" from the album "Eclipse", Edman was a fucking god on that album!

  • yeah edman goes great with yngwie

  • nobodys mentioned joe lynn turner, now hes the best singer hes ever had.

  • At 5:09 Yngwie comes in too early with the main riff. It looks like he tries to play it off and mess with the pedal like it was intentional. Awesome performance though.

  • I think JSS is better than Bonnet. But Mark Boals is the best singer Yngwie has ever had.

  • Jeff Scott does Graham Bonnet better than Graham bonnet...

  • Jeff Soto all the way ....

  • i like the sound of the bass and drums...

  • shut up please mark boals kills them all...

  • sounds like bodom

  • The singer has really long thumbs.

  • Signature staccato at 1:55, beautiful.

  • Jeff Scott Soto's the better singer Yngwie never had.

  • thats is FUCKING true!!!

  • I disagree. I think MV on the Seventh Sigh CD was his best singer. He also performed all of this guys songs live and did a great job.

  • Bonnet is a good screamer, but he is too inconsistent, sometimes he's great, sometimes he's really bad.

  • That's true. I never really cared for his singing.

  • the johannson brother are great on this performance

  • Only Bonnet is Allowed to Sing this song...

  • I like Bonnet also. But Jeff Scott Soto Get's respect from a few trained singers I know and does an wonderful job here.

  • That's not Graham Bonnet. That's Jerry Seinfeld singing.

  • neither nor... its jeff scott soto

  • GB was better at the time, but now his voice got worst like wen he did that album with impellitteri, but during his rainbow or alcatrazz work he was realy good, even better than JSS

  • A prolific author, composer, interpreter and most technically proficient guitarist. Surgical precision at the speed of sound and only 22 at the time, unbelievable.

Thanks so much for posting this.

    Live on Yngwie.

  • Thanks for the nice comment...

  • JSS sings it better than Graham Bonnet!

    Yngwie's awesome

  • What??? graham is absolutely better...Nore soulful, more powerful and this song is played 1/2 step lower than the original!!! JSS is very good but not incredible like GB!

  • Would been better 1/2 step lower with GB cause he sang bad sorry

  • Sang bad??? hahah! Take a listen to the live with steve vai!

  • yeah, you've got another opinion irespect that but i think this is better.. =)

  • i agree gb is good but jss kills it.

  • Awesome - Yngwie was so groundbreaking in the early/mid 80s. Great clip1

  • really good stuff, old yngwie is incredible, his newer stuff is cool too
