@hanaippon driving on roads screws there legs up my mare she was lame when we got her ( i new she was lame) cause her owns droce her on roads now she hunter jumps with me
@xEquinexLuverx Thanks for your comment; however this is not true for every horse. Many ridden horses can develop leg problems just the same and in some cases these can be aggravated by having a rider's weight on its back. We have never had any leg or joint problems related to being driven on the roads, either in our own horses or those that we have trained. As with every horse, you should only do as much work as the individual horse can cope with, whatever age, breed or discipline you do.
I've just purchased the two lippys shown in the video at the front of the team and doing the tandem. I luv them to bits and whilst they needed a bit of tlc, they are doing fab.
Thanks for your comment - this team originally belonged to Mr Davies, who sold them on to Mr John Finnegan earlier this year (from whom you must have just purchased them from). We pride ourselves on training horses to the highest possible standards and it is always a worry when they have been driven and looked after by someone else, whether these standards have been maintained. We never broke these horses initially, we only had them in for training to put them together as a team and tandem.
I think there is some more film of these horses on our Youtube site (I believe the clip is called "John Davies' team on the road"). Please feel free to call us on 01264 720200 if you want any further information on what the horses did during their brief time here with us before being sold to Mr Finnegan, and thanks again for your comment.
