america....bow down to our music listen to this full blast and think have we ever came up with anything that even touches this genius long live the who
@styx8 im not im just saying compared to our music you guys havent got a chance of coming close to the UK's amazing bands and wtf your canadian your closer realted to us than them anyway so...........
@Muse96UK I'll agree the UK has produced better bands than the US overall. I wasn't defending the US, just making sure The Who received their due credit.
They had all been spiked with LSD but fuck me it didn't half make for probably the best live performance in rock music history. No one's ever going to top this, I'm afraid. Thank fuck they filmed it!
Once, my dad was watching a Woodstock DVD. I passed through the living room during this song. I fell in love with it and I asked: "who are these guys?" and he answered: "the who and this song is from a rock opera called Tommy". I went immediately to my PC and listened to the whole album and then I watched the movie. Since then (that was like 7 years ago) I've been a die hard fan of The Who...
See Me, Feel Me preformed live at Woodstock in 1969 by the Who has to be the greatest prayer ever sung in front of a live audience.......................
i love how moon simply goes mad bangin on his drums. daltrey is god, townshend the devil and entwistle is entwistle (since you don't really see a lot of him here) :D
i was 16 when the movie was showing in Belgium , i found this part the best of the whole movie , however the who allways that their performing was not so good at Woodstock ,this concert was also the end of a decade and flower-power .
in 70 glam rock came up , i m very sure i was born 5 years to late .
Yes, this is the greatest live rock performance in all of entertainment history as well as being the all time greatest rock n roll "prayer" ever written and preformed..................
At 4:15 Pete gives Roger a filthy look...Roger's just doing his thing as one of the worlds greatest front-men...Pete always seemed to look down on Roger. He referred to him once as just a singer in a band of geniuses...Bit unfair that...
@rogan71 To be fair, Pete had every right too look down at him when he wished. Without Pete they never would of been as successful as they were because Pete's song writings just so unique and beautiful and Roger would just sing Petes masterpieces. Fair enough Roger was the Front man of the who and the voice of the who if you like And really gave Petes songs that 'Who' Kick, but i suppose pete maybe just thought Roger could of done more if you get me?
@theslipknotfan111 - Point taken...And Roger did knock him out at least once....But obviously The Who wouldn't have been The Who without Roger...There was talk of Moon joining the Beach Boys at one point. How wrong would that have been!
@rogan71 Yea and when Roger did knock out Pete im sure Pete deserved it :S but yea Roger was a huge part of the who like i said his voice is associated to the who like and Moon joining the Beach boys would've been weird!! :S
@rogan71 Perhaps Roger didn't contribute as much to songwritting as Pete or John and maybe even Keith. But that doesn't take away his powerful voice. :D His voice is truly one of the most powerful in the history of rock and he only gets better with time. Compare his singing from My Generation/Can't Explain to around the time Keith died. And even nowadays with age weighing down, his voice is still powerful and impacting. I personally his voice was a gift that made him a genius in his own way.
@ronen18 hai proprio ragione.....io li ho visti in concerto 2 volte al mitico Rainbow di Londra nel lontano 1980......................OGNI COMMENTO E' INUTILEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!

Except for Roger's great vocals, Pete's awesome guitar playing and Keith fabulous drumming, do not forget to pay attention to the great bass playing from John Entwistle(rip)
@nothinglikeafender1 That's so through, its all a matter of taste. I stilI love Jimi's music. I remember, at the beginning of this great festival there was a rumor that maybe the Beatles come and play a couple of songs. In my opinion Woodstock is already the greatest festival of the music history. With the Beatles, it should be a perfect one. But we agree, its all a matter of tast. So i can enjoy the modern music. (Metallica, Rammstein and specialy Type O Negative.
@gerrydebie John Lennon was going to come but only if they allowed the Plastic Ono Band. Bob Dylan wanted to come but his child got sick. The Rolling Stones couldnt come because Mick Jagger wanted to be in a movie. Iron Butterfly got stuck in traffic. Led Zeppelin and The Doors chose not to come. Another act was too busy on the Dick Cavett Show. Imagine what it would be like if all of them showed up.
When is our generation going to show off like this. I'm not doubting that we don't have talent it's just for our taste buds, But still we need to show the world that we have something to show.

Who said they did a bad job on this song? This is fucking rock n roll, not souless garbage speed metal.
Music is not a sport focused on who is the "fastest" or "best", its about playing from your heart and making sounds that you cant explain with words. This new generation of "musicians" who only care about technical prowess need to just all get into a fleet of buses and drive off a cliff.
@AriaanBeowulf That's ironic, because I was under the impression that the Who was made up of four of the most talented men in the history of rock. They had talent up the butt, and did a fantastic job at Woodstock
@AriaanBeowulf thanks for taking the words right out of my mouth !! these young geezers do think music is just a sport , just something to do , an accessory to their hipster life , they've got no soul , no idea of the true beauty , power , and supernatural , primeval spirit of music ...
@TheTomLuczakChannel Pete Townsend started a rumor years ago when he was asked in an interview on their performance at Woodstock and he said "We were f***ing awful!"!
Their performance at this gig was better than a lot of folk said it was. The whole band is pitch perfect. My only quibble: I thought Pete's solos were off on most of the tunes. His rhythm is top drawer though. Ah well, who cares anyway. Hahaha
Why can't this generation have good music? Why do we all hear is Katey Hairy, Lady Blah Blah, and M&M? What happened to this music? Anyone? It makes me mad to see music like this being thrown away like it didn't mean anything to anyone. This music is what made the world go round! If The Who was never here, this Earth woulld become Hell.

@RichMacLeodfilms , oh I wouldn't say that. This is amazing but the original is tremendous as well.

I don't really give a shit who says they did a bad job on this song; if I were there I'd probably jizz.

@Shep9250 Don't worry, no one has forgotten The Who. :-)
