I think that music is perfection, the ultimate art form. The ultimate method of expression. I can't critisize it, I CAN'T, that's why I avoid talking about Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga, and stuff like that. I love music. It's so pure and amazing, and so easily interpretted in different ways based on the point of view. It's just godly, how wonderful music is, and I look forward to all of it. I love this song, and I think I might just teach myself to play the guitar now.

I don't think people realize how difficult a lot of their songs are to play...especially as well as Ed does. Ed is probably one of the most underrated players in the music industry. He can play anything..

It's also about just not wanting to live the life everyone else is living. In one way, it could be about pursuing stardom, about not wanting to be happy in a "normal life", but even without the celebrity element, not wanting to be like everyone else is a noble intention. IMHO.
