  • Never heard this song until 2 weeks ago. My new favorite!!!!!!"

  • Walter Hawkins is a true ministry..you know it is a true ministry when you can still minister without being here on Earth!!

  • @curtinnyc Amen to that.

  • aww I Miss uncle walter so much :'(...

  • But he does sound so wonderful! I like this tempo...Still one of my favorites..... I did see Bishop in 2008 at the fundraiser for Rev Coley in Oakland at the Love Center Church...That was my big wish to attend Love Center Church just once... Also saw him in 2010 at the Kennedy center, DC.

  • this performance was @ Agape Family Worship church in Rahway NJ (where i attend). Really nice. thanks ofr posting.

  • That is an excellent arrangement! That thing is smokin! Whew! Loved it!!!

  • love this one, i wish someone would post his song Agree, I also love Just A Prayer Away

  • I love his introduction for the song, "....it's just a little old fashioned." This song still grooves too hard to be considered old fashioned. I first heard this song in the late 80s when I was 5 and the original, faster recording of this song has a tight groove. I like this "baptist" version here too LOL. RIP Bishop Hawkins you left us with a lot of messages to apply.

  • thanks for this video

  • oh jesus i miss him already even though i never meant him

  • God Bless the Hawkins family

  • I remember singing this song when I was young in the choir at church...this is indeed one of my favorite songs from Bishop Hawkins..he's home now dancing on the streets of gold...R.I.P

  • my god i love this song soooo much!! when the battle is over, we going home!! thankyou jesus!!

  • Walter was the best gospel singer in the world!!!! RIP

  • RIP BISHOP.. I thank you so much for all the great memories, teachings, excellence and example in righteousness and humility.

  • RIP BISHOP HAWKINS

  • The Master. RIP.

  • RIP Your songs will live forever in each and everyone of us - 05/18/1949 - 07/11/2010

  • RIP Walter Hawkins....legendary Gospel Singer and songwriter....REAL GOSPEL MUSIC!

  • U N GLORY NOW............SAAANNNNNGGGGG ON............ YOUR SONGS WILL LIVE FOREVER

  • R.I.P Bishop Hawkins.

  • RIP Walter Hawkins....the greatest gospel artist ever!!!

  • I love Walter Hawkins. God bless him richly!

  • Why should I wait?!?!?!

  • This is good. I think Walter slowed it down because he was the writier of the song and wasn't the original singer and two he's not as young as he used to be. So to last through the song with enough energy to last he slowed it down.

  • I kinda like this version....

  • Sing ya'll we used to kill this song when i was a kid... I miss singing with true worship sing Steve

  • I love this song. The musicians and background are working it. Put your spin on it choir.

  • Hope this brings no offense....but I'm used to this song being more live. They are a little too laid back for a shout. I mean, they can sing beautifully but........you know, it doesn't kill me like the original. It was..........okay

  • I think its the slowed down tempo and the lower key than the original

  • this is the song!

  • love alive 2 is the all and i mean all time gospel cd. the hawkins family started the hip hop gospel.

  • There is NO DOUBT about that. I remember being about 12 or 13 when that hit. I had never heard ANYTHING like it before or since. It is on another level in terms of music. The whole Hawkins family and the Love Centre Choir is one of Gods greatest gifts to music -period. Who has their resume of top quality & innovative music. Starting with Edwin Hawkins!

  • This used to be my favorite song! Thanks

  • Man PrazHymm you have all my good gospel.

  • I'm glad you like my vids, man! I have more on the way...

    ...be blessed!

  • Wow. That background is fiyah. I don't usually prefer a remake to the original, but this is killin.

  • I know stylenman, we listened to this on the record player every Sunday morning!!!!!

  • I loveand grew up listening to This song. . If anyone is finding this song. Look for Walter Hawkins & The Love Center Choir Love Alive III.
