Your glow plug ignitor needle will only go into the green area when you place it onto the glow plug while it is in the engine head. It is an indicator that the glow plug itself is still good. As long as the ignitor is not connected to the glow plug, the dial needle remains in the red.

Actually the shock towers are the right height. This is designed as a monster truck, not a stadium truck. Looks are based on opinion and if your opinion that it looks better lower then that is your opinion. Others like myself think it looks good as is.

True, but I still think the tower should be lower. You can always extend the body posts up to get the high body look if you want.

@joeyisfunny your right ,,the body does look much better down low. i have tried them 30 different ways and the lower the better. also truggy wheels help it out as well .if you watch my vids you will see for the 1st to the 4th i change there stances alot.

Mine use to look like this but not anymore they are hard to keep clean and you might want to locktite all your motor bolts or you might strip a gear thats the only problem i have with them.

Well as far as speed is concerned I am not exactly sure between the two. But the Savage does come with a bigger engine and is much more durable than a Tmaxx 3.3. I did have my Savage at an offroad track and there was another guy there with his Tmaxx, but he didn't stay long enough for us to have them both on the track at the same time. I wanted to do some damage ;-).

My roll cage came included in the kit. That is the Savage X 4.6 RTR kit by the way that comes with the roll cage included.

Is the savage 4.6 reliable and doesnt need alot of repairs all the time?

This Savage X 4.6 is the most reliable RC I have owned to date. The only thing that needs repairs on my truck is a new body already and that's it. Like anything though, it will last as long as you take care of it and not abuse it. Even a M1 Abraham tank will not survive being driven off a cliff into the Grand Canyon. :-)

The best tip I can give is basically not over rev the engine a lot and not drive it a full speed constantly. Also routinely cleaning out the air filter and not doing insane high jumps and flips like the other guys in these videos I see on You Tube. But all in all just enjoy the truck and drive it the way you are most comfortable with.

Well I can't answer that question myself since I have yet to even run a full gallon of fuel through this bad boy.  But this Savage is built tough and as long as you don't abuse it, I don't see the clutch wearing out even within 12 months.

The Savage will destroy the Stampede and it already has. I let my wife drive the Stampede last month while I was driving the Savage and she crashed into my Savage and the Stampede's left front suspension was torn to pieces.

The roll bar does not add any extra weight at all and it is well worth the install. It will protect that engine during the roll overs and none cat like landings you WILL have with the Savage.

430$ @ my hoppy shop... but I just got mine today, and all i can say is that i am not impressed. first of all my trucks stock remote is totally messed up.... it wont even hold the batteries in long enough to start/control it, and second i installed the fale-safe, and it is set backwards! instead of de-throttling it pins the throttle to full speed when the car looses connection with the remote... this could only be my defective car, but i hope you have better luck with yours.

Wheely bar will help the savage ass getting torn due to the power of this beast keep on standing. Man Its a BEAST. I suggest u buy one.

put on some fail safe device to avoid costly runaway. watch out for the shocks, upright set tireburst and body tearing apart due to crashes. check always the binding screws and ball bearings. be sure to have clutch, dogbones and brake pads spare. Battery power is important, charge it b4 playing.ENJOY man.

Well tunning small block nitro engines is much easier than tuning a big block... mine is still not tuned to optimum yet.

Real nice, I'm selling my old one dude. Buying a savage X 4.6 big block. Is is a solid car or does the parts breake easely? But on the HPI europe web site it stands that you get a help DVD with the car. Why didn't you get one?!

Yeah this specific Savage is extremely durable by design, so no need to worry about breaking parts, this thing is built very solid. Well I guess the DVD is a bonus they do if you buy direct from the manufacturer. I bought mine from the local hobby shop. At any rate you will love this truck.
