  • wow. thats some crazy strength..that stone looks fucking HUGE at 1:12!!

  • i'm 55 years old and got my first rock yesterday. a mere 65 pounder. i worked out with it, washed it and named it boris. i love this stuff!

  • Fuckin hell this is awesome!

  • What is Regan Bridge up to these days? is he still lifting stones exclusively? is he at weights again? anything? i cant find anything else on him in any of the forums that i use to follow with him in it.

  • Bearmode is best mode

  • what are the names of these guys? fucking beasts. the bald guy doesnt even look big

  • now thats functional strength holy fuck. i doubt many huge bodybuilders and powerlifters could do this

  • Comment removed

  • thats manly

  • They should just have gyms kitted out the Flintstones style - just pick a stone and move it. Awesome strength and power/

  • This is so bad ass

  • Wow...that was crazy.

  • You're bloody strong holy shit!!!

  • Whos the guy that picked up the tombstone? and where did you get the stones? cheers

  • i have a pet rock named fred

  • thats fuckin serious power

  • Lifting rocks will make a man out of you.

  • i like this approch to lifting, just find something heavy and move it...

  • I lift rocks for fun. woman will never understand.

  • @BatmanGriffin But if they do understand... or even just appreciate it... then they could be golden. :)

  • @holymoly1234 I know what you mean. 'babe I'm going to go and exercise'. 'but, I don't care about how you look'. 'it's not about looking good woman'. Sigh.

  • That's what i call strength! Animals!

  • Yes they are some nice lifts. But just to clarify lifting a river stone and lifting an atlas stone are two very different things and cant really even be compared.

  • wow these guys are natural -and even stronger than the guys at the Arnold classic ? Bravo and bravo even more because these guys are natural lifters and they are steroid free.

  • Wow, that is awesome!

  • omg no belt? ur truly a marvel of the century

  • @gh4pwner

Beltless lifting used to be the norm. Toughen up buddy.

  • @Draykid I guess herniated discs mean you are a real man, right tough guy?

  • @gh4pwner

Never had a herniated disc, never worn a belt.

I've known of dozens of guys who did as many movements without a belt as possible, including dozens of presteroids strongmen with legendary strength. Pretty sure I've never heard of Hermann Goerner getting a herniated disc.

Just because something can be dangerous doesn't mean it always is.

  • @Draykid yea and belts dont do shit, they wont save you from any back injury, there just there to remind you to straighten your back.

  • Definition of manliness.

  • esto es una mierda. Iñaki Perurena 300 kg.....

  • @Iraitz si,rocas de papel y ya echas para recontra facilitar el "levantamiento"

  • great way to fuck up your back. pretty strong though!

  • haha, we will ROCK you. :]

  • i could lift my like 200 lb dad up when i was like 7

    grab his waste, lift up

    does that kind of qualify?

  • nice lifting there!

  • Cool training method. Awesome sport too!

  • i like the rig they set up. some big men that they are

  • Now THAT's functional strength at its best. I always train some level of functional strength, but what I do with a meager 200 lb stone pales in comparison to what these guys do with stones that make my workout rock look like a mere pebble.

  • I love this. great work and tremendous strength. loading a 504lb stone is no joke.

  • whats dana white doing lifting rocks?

  • @darkhorse339 lol

  • Looks like he hits his knee pretty damn hard at 1:39

  • HaHa , This is Sparta !

  • That is badASS!

  • Nice workout with the stones!

  • Strong dude.

  • i love that sparta has indeed been redemmed

  • That's what I'm talking about. Real STRENGTH . Much better than lifting weights. Shows what you can really do.

  • Arnold lifted a 560 lb when he was younger.

  • Thats some primal good fucking lifting need to put this in my routines!

  • imagine dropping one of them on your foot

  • loose

  • I wonder how many back injuries he got from lifting like that...

  • i seriously doubt that these stones were 500lbs americas strongest man gets 500lb stones but they are sphere shaped so there may be a diference due to leverage, grip etc...

  • okay that bald guy is the strongest man in the world im sure of it

  • And HOW ABOUT A 60 YEAR OLD LIFTING A 990 LBS CONCRETE ROLLER?????

  • ticket for the wheel chair....

  • Mint video, well done!

  • Very strong great stuff....really like natural stone lifting.... good to see it at forttisimus aswell

  • ultimate red neck weight lifting ill tell you what. (King of the hill)

  • the heavist rock i ´ve ever lifted weighted about 570 pounds (260 kgs) but it was so heavy that y couldn´t do this exercise (put it in a barrel) .Now i prefer to train with lighters rock to do the "stone shoulder"

  • @RAYDENMORTALKOMBAT And HOW ABOUT A 60 YEAR OLD LIFTING A 990 LBS CONCRETE ROLLER?????

  • @RAYDENMORTALKOMBAT And HOW ABOUT A 60 YEAR OLD LIFTING A 990 LBS CONCRETE ROLLER?????ha ha this must drive the younger dudes nuts???But it has been done.

  • @TheJATwarrior

    Showme that

  • @RAYDENMORTALKOMBAT yes, dude would post the picture of that roller to you

  • all that and hes not a fat dude hes probably got no fat and hes strong as fuk

  • need to find me some heavy stones!

  • r river rocks much heavier than granite rocks?

  • siga mhn klaseis...

  • That is some friggin hardcore liftin', awesome!!

  • It doesn't look possible, but you can do it, great lifting.

I've done 220lb myself and was happy that I got that. Keep it up.

Looks like it clacked the knee on one attempt, be careful.

  • Hard core ! ;-D

  • must have trained really hard for this type of lifting, especially learning the best angle to roll the stones

  • damn this is insane..beast

  • Thats what I'm talking about ! I have a few I lift and need to get them weighed. 350+ stones are damn beasty!

  • he could do more than that he doesnt even struggle with the 504

  • thats fucking insane!

  • Brooo youre fucking insane! awesome!

  • Man looked like you hurt yourself on the second try. Hope you're alright.

  • So thats how they builded Stonehenge xD

  • watch at 2 min. 4 sec.

a 500 pound stone does not crush a tire..

    I don't understand

  • Comment removed

  • Great work guys, this type of lifting far better for core, balance, grip and tendon strength etc than traditional weights.

    Well done !

  • Hahaha, holy shit.

One of the greatest displays of functional strength I've seen.

Fuck, I gotta get me some of them stones.

  • Mate I'm glad you agree. I'm the bigger guy and had just front squatted 500lbs... and was totally put to shame.

  • @holymoly1234

But tell me the true, wich strengt is much more usefull or functional, the Regan´s 1 or yours?

  • @Akslack

Yeah, i can train with similar rocks in some beaches

  • Fuck!

  • Comment removed

  • Very impressive.!I ve never seen something like that before.keep up the good work.

  • Very impressive!

  • Natural stones means its easy compared to the round stones

  • not true at all man. trust me, unless u have tried both u wont understand, but natural stones are much much harder because they are awkwardly shaped and unevenly ballanced.

  • damn, that is scary, u wear steel capped boots to protect ur self in case u drop it?? wat happened if u fell back wih one of dem stones, impressive but looks fuckin dangerous, then again i aint much of a weightlifter so...

  • this is very impressive..i wish we could get him into olympic lifting...with his strength and work ethic the sky would be the limit

  • well if we ever need guy to rebuild stonehenge...

  • Thank u very much

  • the strenght that u get lifting rocks or doing exercises with them is much more useful or funtional that than training with dumbels, barbels or machines in my opinion, that´s why i love to train with rocks

  • since it has been beaten to death already and is being used by some of the weirdest individuals in the training world (you know, the kinda guy who says you don't need to train hard), I dislike the term 'functional strength' and therefore use it rarely. if you are saying that by lifting stones you get a better carry-over to barbells etc than vice-versa, I'm all with you... though by using 2-2.5" bars, you can get quite a challenge with the bells, too... anyway, I'm really impressed by your lifts!

  • Just awesome... I'm feeling an inexplicable urge to go out and lift something heavy - wait, let me correct myself, I'm feeling an even stronger urge to go out and lift something heavy than I normally do. also, I'm still chuckling about your choice of background music - fits dead on.

  • As I said, this guy trains exclusively with stones, hence he gets good at them. Also, a tombstone is easier to lift than a 500lb atlas stone. Lbstone has done a 555lb stone load before. Stones were weighed on a calibrated scale, its legit.

  • Cool the stone I mean was a rectangular stone that Derek lifted in Fortissimus these guys are super strong you are a nice guy you didn't answer with something like you dumbfuck or something lol good going :)

  • yeah u r right, i lift up to 255 kgs (560 pounds aprox and 170 at the stone shoulder (but that depends of the rock) and i´m absolutely right that i couldnt lift an atlas stone between 200-220 kgs

  • Rock On

  • That 500 lbs tombstone lift was amazing!

Looks like a lot of fun too, i'll have to try some for myself!

  • The guy in the jeans (Regan?) is a truck!

  • Regan is amaizing, he is the best proof that there´s no need to use steroids to be very strong

  • Beast haha.

  • very strong training!!!!!!!where can you find any stones like these???

  • Find a fast flowing river.

  • @kamppl hahahha its easy enough to find them at the beach or by a river its getting them back home which is the hard part.

  • was that stone 500 because if its true u guys should be on wsm

  • Yes, that was 500. Understand though that the smaller guy only trains with stones and while a decent strongman, would not manage at WSM level. The bigger guy (myself) will hopefully make it to that level in a few years, I am still a SM newby.

  • but i think that he is MUCH stronger than u cause he is the guy who lifted that rock of500 pounds

  • Congratulations and good luck.

  • the best video i ever saw on youtube. this is really great and inspirational!!!

  • Now this is some serious old time strength training.

While the multitudes of "men" play with rubber bands, balls an girly weights...

    YOU GUYS ROCK!

  • SWEET!

  • u r an inspiration 4 me, but i havce a question 4 u, how much do u weight?

  • all right thanks, maybe, the rocks that i lift weight more than i expected

  • awsone but im not sure if that rocks wieghts that cause i have been lifting stonesof the similar size n i dont think that they weights over 330 pounds so, how do u know that those rocks weight that?

  • They're very dense river rocks. They were weighed on a calibrated scale. They're weighed fully accurately.

  • holy crap!!!!! this is real strength training!!!

  • Stones 4 life!!

  • Niiice job with the tombstone! Good vid. 5 stars.

  • That 229 kg stone mayhem!! Five stars!

  • Round back lifting - one of the most attacked form of exercises, yet one of the best

  • this is great !

  • That was an awesome video. Very impressive lifts.

  • old-school-rules !

  • holy shit i feel like weaksauce

  • dang man.

how does your back feel after that?

i've tried stone loading before and it just puts my back in a weird position, makes my spine feel very weak.

any tips on what to train to strengthen that?

  • My back did hurt a bit doing it, the stone lifting definitely puts one in a weird position. I felt fine the next day, even though I'm currently not very well conditioned, just a bit inflexible. I guess alot of front squatting helps a bit.

  • Right, thanks man appreciate the advice.

  • Rock On! I just did my first set of stones at a competition yesterday and definitely feel like quite the sissy after watching you- quite inspirational! Keep up the outstanding work!

  • ha, you dented his barrel dude

  • Damn cool! Regan is a manimal.

  • Sweet!

That can't be good on the knees at 1:18!

Love to have you guys over next time I move.

    This video rocks!

  • Haha, yeah, I had a bunch of people comment on how that must have hurt, but honestly I was more worried about denting the barrel. I have a bruise on my left knee, but it doesn't hurt. That's one reason why I don't own a truck, would have people asking me to help move every weekend!

  • Awesome video!

    Absolutely loved it!

Where did you manage to get a 504 lb stone like that???

  • Thanks mate, I thought the stonelifting would get a good reception.

Regan gets his natural stones out of a river valley about an hour from Auckland. Basically he scouts them out and over a few trips gets them into a trailer. If you have large rocks near shallow flowing water, you're bound to have some interesting looking smooth stones. The rougher stones are from volcanic eruptions, but generally rip the skin up alot.

    God bless

  • Thanks holymoly

    I appreciate the ideas.

I know a few places I might find some!

    God Bless You as well!
