  • @corey41685 daaaaa shiiiid

  • easily one of dillas best beats. this beat just puts you in a trance. i remember when i first bought this cd back in 2000 this song stayed on repeat for months. before i checked the credits i noticed that all my fav songs on there were produced by dilla. RIP. after that i was hooked

  • one of the tastiest donuts

  • Dilla Dawg Thats Whats UP, Busta Bust thats Whats UP!

  • ALL MAH DOGS WHO HUS-SLE EVERYDAY!

  • one of the illest tracks produced in my opinion. r.i.p. we lost a true god. dilla's music will never die. he lives in the hearts and souls of those whom he touched with his craft. #1 dilla fan.

  • Wow Somebody sampled Stereolab on a hip hop track.

Never thought I would see that day, although it's Busta, so i give him a pass.

I now know he has good taste to boot.

  • @TigerLikesTail

    Jay dee did sampled

  • @TigerLikesTail 9th Wonder sampled Stereolab as well for Groupie pt. 2 and The Yo-Yo, both by Little Brother.

  • @MyNameIsNeutron I like that.. yall droppin the gems on this page. Thats what its all about.. true hiphop headz.

  • @TigerLikesTail 9th also used the Groupie pt. 2 sample for his own Strained.

I'm surprised Dilla and 9th were the only ones to sample Stereolab.

  • cuz stereolab is recent music, dilla sampled stereolabs song like 1 year after it came out, lol nobody usually lets you do that

  • @sickathanyoav88 I meant that it's 2011 and the only ones sampling them are Dilla, 9th, and Black Milk.

  • Classic Pure Hip Hop

  • RIP Dilla

  • The tune for the chorus is borrowed from Central Line- Walking Into Sunshine , a 1981 disco track

  • @jonotick Wow another Gem being dropped. Good looking.

  • The year 2000, its time to do it ya'll.

  • @OperationDEE hehehehe, UHN CHECK IT OUT Y'ALL

  • da-n hiphoppers stop sampling

    Make yr own melodies ..lame

  • hater

  • BIG BLOOD CLAUT Chune .... Hotta

  • the problem I have with this song is that the beat is perfect for a really contemplative/reflective song, but the lyrics don't match it at all, and the chorus is TERRIBLE. Even ignoring the chorus, the elements of the song just don't mesh together that all. "Get money bitches" doesn't do this beat justice.

  • @naabtctdye don't mistake "message/theme" with the choice of diction in the lyrics. This song is ill because of the contrast of the "contemplative/reflective" beat with the raw demeanor albeit sort of ignorant choice of lyrics. But if you think that because of those lyrics there is not anything to contemplate or reflect on you are letting the diction get in the way of message.

  • @jwillisgod I love it.. I love it!!! This is what Im talkin about! Well said!!!

  • god damn .. this has been my months anthem .. its been on replay since the beginning of march

  • @lCollabI Is this still ya anthem? LOL.

  • @POSHGEMZ lmao

I was wondering the same thing.

    ;)

  • how the fuck could you faggs think the hook is whack. i think the hook is fresh till this day. aside the lyrics j dilla made this song

  • Yes. The sample in the back was written by Sterolab. I love Stereolab, this song is called Come and Play in the Milky night. And DILLA sampled it, and it works. Tight. Got respect for Stereolab for letting DILLA sample it and Busta for making it work and sounding alright. Random combination, but respect.

  • this shyt max fresh!

  • This song is a classic, This J Dilla beat is a classic, everything is classic here

  • Comment removed

  • How can u hate this song at all? this song is a lay back smoke one while drivin in ya clean car kinda song..

  • the shit

  • Classic J Dilla shit

  • hell yeah.... busta is always my shit to listen too

  • post instrumentalllll somebody please

  • these busta albums should be gettin millions of hits

  • i use to play this song the most off dat anarchy album...high skool dayz

  • Tune is sick, But the chorus sounds sooo fucking shit, singing is terrible so out of tune and the lyrics are just typical. but the verses and intro holds its own.

  • @PrestigiousP Its not about the chorus being in tune, that wasnt particularly the intention. The style of the chorus is ideal for the busta/JD twist over such a jazzy background, takes you back to alot of 90's neo soul/new movement hip hop. Beautiful music

  • J Dilla one of the best.... R.I.P.

  • dilla the beat god

  • that Ethiopian bitches in Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) doesnt even make sense :P

  • Long Live StereoLab!

  • DILLLAAAAAAA!!!!

  • This tune is heavy and one of my favorites. Just don't like the fact he uses the term N***ga and calls women "BITCHE'S" all the time and Phucking up Ethipoian Bitches in the Ivory Coast? why?

    Anyway.... Jay Dilla R.I.P

  • Thanks for the comments and for the post... U guys leaded me to the sample song behind this beautiful hit by Busta... Thanks!!!

  • R.I.P DJ Dilla and contains a sample from the stereolab recording come and play in the milky night.

  • R.I.P DILLA

  • That's rad he got that Stereolab sample in the back. For real that's some rad shit right there.

  • RIP Dilla

  • Dilla is da illest. R.I.P

  • This was when busta was ill. he still is these days just not as much as he used to be

  • @Prophet6000 this is actually new bro. on a underground dilla album w busta after he passed i believe

  • @vvaughn Nah this is from 2000...

  • @Prophet6000 NO U R RIGHT ON THE ANARCHY ALBUM

  • @Prophet6000 he's just changed wit the times

  • One of tha many classics from Busta this 1 is just sick 1 of my all-time favorites

  • busta classic... i always sit and imagine shit 2 tha dis

  • This is definitely my favorite cut from Busta, straight classic.

  • instrumental in my page

  • Dilla the greatest boardsmith ever respect. P.E.A.C.E.

  • more like Beatsmith!

  • great song but Yo man where´s Bladow?

  • @redsomister You know what.. that was another hot joint off da album. Imma look into posting it.

  • @POSHGEMZ still looking for it, only instrumental on youtube!! thats fucked, Bladows 1 of the best on the CD, i could upload....but u said u would 1st, lol

  • jay dee never fails to impress

  • amazing song. Dilla-busta-stereo lab, how can you go wrong? dopeness

  • owow so much bitter bullshit who gives a fuck amn jus enjoy the music why does everything have to be a dumbass fuckin debate man

  • the beat makes this song we all know know it. RIP dilla.

CHECK THE SAMPLE OFF DIlla's mr sands ep. I dont know where he sampled it from but its sick as hell!

  • Stereolab-Come Play In the Milky Night. It's on Youtube, Stereolab is the shit. It's a shame that they're on hiatus right now. Stereolab is getting flipped hella by producers, or at least in the 90's. That's weird for an English experimental band.

  • look i love busta just as much as the next fan but the bottom line is THE HOOK IS WACK! the harmony is terrible busta is not a singer and he shouldnt have kept it. Everyone who wasnt afriad to point it out on here, .. RESPECT! Everyone else thats dick riding just cause its busta keep to get their ears checked

  • Sorry but I think its a matter of taste. Ive heard wack shit from Busta.. this is not one of them.. I think the chorus is what gives the song the melancholy vibe.

  • @POSHGEMZ yeah, the messed up harmony is done intentionally and I believe it works well with the vibe...

  • nah, the beat gives the song the melancholy vibe. the chorus kinda fucks it up. like some1 playin a beautiful piano piece and then a drunk comes and yells over it. they shoulda had some1 sing who got skills or had busta just talk over it, that is HORRIBLE singing

  • @sleepymv609 word up... not all hooks have to meet the standard.....its ure opinion and i respect dhat.... and we aint fake man... its just that like POSHGEMZ said.... its a madd diff kind of hook

maybe he did that on purpose.... !? idk... juss sayin bruh... much respect tho cuz that means u got a ear for music and harmonies.... muuuuch respect

  • @sleepymv609 I Totally agree. DIlla's beat is SIICK.

Busta f*cked-up on the hook 4 real..

  • @veyronzondaf

    full instrumental on my page

  • @sleepymv609

I think the song is in a minor key and Busta's singing in a major key... and out of tune.

  • busta ripped this track...this is his last good album

  • HOT BEAT R.I.P J DILLA

  • The harmonies on the hook coulda used work sure but its the kinda thing that could be fixed by putting the high harmony part at a lower volume dashed w a lil reverb. The upper range sounds loud and the mix; chorusy...usually used to help a singer w thier juuuuuust off pitch. The finished product had me blasting the shit out of my speakers and rode w me through a gr8 year ( 2000 / 01) of commuting to see my lady (wife).

  • yo anybody got the instrumental of this? its a shame i aint really checking for bustas lyrics on this one but damm this beat relaxes me. rip dilla!!

  • word

  • my bad darkstarNT, i hit spam instead of reply, but you might be able to find it as "The Message Instrumental", Madlib did a joint over this that was supposed to be on Champion Sound - Jaylib, so you might find it as that. "The Message Instrumental - Jaylib" Peace. R.I.P. Jay Dee

  • yo thanx for the info! will try to hunt it down

  • Busta does this track, absolute justice, don't care what anyone says. Yes Common, Talib etc would also have blended but Busta came at it from his own angle, u can interpret a track in different ways.

  • man the chorus doesn't sit with the dilla beat AT ALL. whoever was responsible for that needs to get their ears checked.

  • the hook is the only thing bad about this song

  • wtf...u don't really know shit kid

  • xtra large production!!!!

  • DILLA WAS LARGER THAN LIFE!!

  • One of my favourite Dilla productions, Busta's verses are great.

  • fukn dilla with a banger

  • RIP Dilla! Fucking genius

  • love this track, the whole album's wicked actually.

  • amazing song

  • perhaps busta ruined the impact of this incredible beat with his wak chorus and half dope rymes

  • Perhaps your Soldiers Boys #1 fan and should stick to leaving comments on his songs. LOL

  • i know not of who you speek of. busta's first verse is cool. the rest is weak - does this song have a chorus?

  • damn a nigga cant have an opinion? if not, then who are you to say this is dope? who is anyone to say anything about anything?

  • Of course you can have an opinion my brother, it just shows you don't know good hip hop though. And I AM....I Am All....WHO ARE YOU?

  • Don't know good Hip-Hop? again isn't that based on opinion? maybe we just like different formulas of an artist and this one just wasn't fitting brireif's style. think about it alot of cats in hip-hop are unique in their own way.

  • i THINK THE CHORUS ADDS TO THE MELANCHOLY FEEL I LOVE ABOUT THIS SONG.

  • the only reason why you love this song is because of the dilla beat. bustas chorus and words are wak.

  • lol. NO. Maybe busta aint the best lyricist but he fits this beat perfectly as he does a lot of dillas beats that he blesses

  • not busta's fault u can't envision the raps, all I see is pictures of what this cat's doing...Ivory Coast front of the (ny) Post? Yer boo boo. UR chorus n words are w-h-a-c-k

  • u aiin't from new york so don't talk about the post.. the first verse is aiight, rest of this song was a complete waste from busta. beeatch

  • right on bro

  • exactly

  • the problem is that i feel this beat was wasted. it is such a powerful composition wasted with repeated usage of the n word, plus i don't really feel busta delivered any message whatsoever. someone like common, talib, doom, elzhi would have provided a comparable verse to the beat. terrible waste.

  • @brireif chorus was wack rhymes is dope

  • i was bumpin this in my discman when i was like 14....damn ...

  • yeah...so remarkable....

  • I knew it was only a matter of time before my favorite groups/producers from opposite sides of the spectrum would converge - Stereolab and J Dilla - who knew?

  • this shit is fuckin incredible!!!!!!!!!!! The beat leaves you speechless....

  • This track screams longevity. The only reason I speak on the Anarchy album because of this song. Dilla constructed a masterpiece around that bass line. Props to Stereolab too.

  • my favorite song on the album

  • word.....this song saved the album from bein complete waste.....and DILLA saved the day again
