  • @koolcutekat04 Hi there, I will need to give you a link so I have sent you a personal message.

    nice one!!!

  • @viperfrank i have the same problem as koolcutekat04

  • james, my computer is completely formatted, everything is gone :(, i had windows vista and everything is gone pleasepleaseplease help me!!!! i really wanna know what to do.

  • I know the disk at the end ( the one that you damaged) does not rotate but can it be taken out and put in on another hard drive that does not have a disk and still be able to retrieve the data?

  • @flyinghigh581 I wonder about that too. I don't think it would be impossible, but if you have doubts when getting rid of an old hard drive, it definitely wouldn't hurt to break the disc.

  • @baybiikqutie45441 hi there, Sorry for the late reply, I hope it's not too late. you can recover the date of the drive, but you are going to have to remove the drive from the laptop.

Also you are going to have to connect the drive to a computer, so you will need to put it into a computer. you can download the free piece of software called "win data" and you can use this software to recover deleted files off of a drive. Hope this was a help and thank you for your comments.

    Nice one!!!

  • @viperfrank what happens when you delete something off your computer do you get back the memory

  • @baybiikqutie45441 It's going to cost you 3 Grand at a recovery center.

  • Nice video. Great education for folks out there who are clueless about ID theft or privacy.I tought my Daughter these procedures since she was only 6. She also knows that not only unwanted hard drives pose such problem. She knows that also SD cards, flash, ant solid state thing that stores information can be retrieved. I have a $5,700.00 software that can retrieve the very FIRST thing ever recorded into a hard drive even after 100 formats, it;s there. A 4GB video file, intact and fully readable.

  • @luvpudel no problem, I'M glad you like the video.

    than you for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • can this get rid of hackers

  • hi you must have money to wast here i am trying to buy a harddrive to make a external harddrive just to back up items on . and there you are busting up good items ,i wish some one would give me a old harddrive man what a wast . you got any you can send me

  • @CouncilHater2009 no don't worry the one i smashed wasn't the same one i show you in the video, that one got returned to its owner. the one i smashed you could have had it if you wanted but when you power it up all you would have got was "click click, click click. it had head failure, and trust me you didn't want the working one it was only like

8 Gigabytes. i know what you mean about wast hence what i said in the video @ 2:29.

    thanks for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • does this get rid of viruses

  • @06rawjac a thorough formatting should get rig of viruses but the data recovery could recover them, smashing the drive defiantly will but don't do that unless you are not planning on using it again.

    thanks for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • dude, my pc is a laptop

and when i try to start up my laptop my screen wont show !

    idk, why :(

    can some1 help , please """

  • Pretty sweet vid dude. Listen I accidentally formated my HD attempting to repair it with the instalation CD few weeks ago, what are the chance that a file can be recovered from it

  • Couldnt u just use an Drive Eraser Program??? LOL NOW the poor soul that recieves this tower has to find an hard drive thats compatible with it! they could probably buy a tower from an repair shop for what theyd have to buy another hard drive with,,,,esp if they have to install the OS system LOL

  • You could have removed the spinning part which holds the data, then scratch the hell out of it or brake it xD

  • Now thats, very scarey indeed. I had no idea it was THAT easy. Thank you for this eye opening video!

I shall now destory some old HDDs I have laying around!

  • good video

  • Thanks for the info, James~

  • Cool. I will be more careful with my hard drives' data then. 5 stars. thanks for explaining.
