Love Blue Rodeo. Saw them in 2010 in the fairgrounds at Malone N.Y. Most of the people there didn't know them until this song . All of a sudden everyone put up there lighters like candles and swayed to the music in the stands . They are a GREAT Canadian talent and don't ever forget it . We do produce a lot of talented people in this great country

This is going to come off as a hater comment, but it's really not. I think it's a great song, but wrong venue. If you go out onto the stage and see a crowd of tens of thousands of people, those people want to rock. They don't want to slow dance to your one hit. My advice? If you see a crowd like this, you play ACDC's Thunderstruck, even if you're not ACDC and even if you don't know how to play it. Try is for a small intimate concert hall or bar, not a freakin' huge outdoor concert. Buzz kill.

@hotpocketpizzapop It doesn't sound like you're a hater, but it does sound like you aren't very familiar with the band. They have had a lot more than one hit. I was a concert of theirs last week and they played two solid hours of hits, many of them rocking loud, hard, and long. You can question their song choice, but there is no need to demean them.

They go to hear Jim Cuddy and friends sing songs he has composed, written and make huge hit records with. If we wanted to listen to ACDC, we would go to see them. In this instance, people went to listen to Jim Cuddy and got him at his finest. ONE HIT WONDER....You really are clueless!

@hotpocketpizzapop Nobody asks you to listen to their music. Some people like this genre of music and find Jim Cuddy to be an amazing singer/songwriter. This crowd came to Live 8 and Blue Rodeo just happened to make their contribution. There is no point to "hating" just because you don't like this style of music. Go to ACDC on You Tube and listen away to your hearts content.

@hotpocketpizzapop i was actually at the concert. when bands like motley crue came out and rocked out the response wasn't as good as when blue rodeo played. it wasn't about rocking people's faces off, it was about coming together for a good cause, and blue rodeo knew just what to play to get everyone feeling the same vibe.

This band really hits home with their music, vocals and written words. I cannot say enough about them. I have seen them live five times and the best was Malkin Bowl, Stanley Park. They seem to work so well together. This has to be one of Jim's best songs.

I got a chance to be right at the stage of one of their concerts b but i didn't recognize the songs they were singing at first...he looked familiar but i couldn't place the group. So when i went back further in the crowd he sang the song i know. Then i wish i could of been closer.
