i guess you can call that video game skill... u kept in completely pinned which is what started the spin, and u kept it pinned during the spin? that wouldnt have happened how it did in the game in real life... but still looked cool.
good but if you want a good racing sim. lfs is the way to go. $24 for s2 and you only have to pay once. unlike this shit where you have to pay $100+ a year for NC2003 shit
The formula bmw in lfs does seem more convincing then this one since it seems a bit more edgy and loose and requires constant and rapid input adjustments, I've never tried iRacing though. But the lfs street cars are questionable. I set the xr gt suspension to 20Nm or so and completely reduced the anti-roll to mimic a factory setup. After looking at telemetry data the cars were still pulling 1.2 G's!! Not Right lol! Anyways I'm sure netKar pro tears both to shreds in the formula racing department
If you look at the steering inputs in the iRacing formula mazda it's like the driver is way too relaxed. Might be ffb related, but still, look up some of the F1 beta videos and you'll see exactly how closely steering input matches reality in netKar.
I tried the netkar pro 1.03 demo recently and got my laptimes to 1.46 at aviano. It was nice until the ffb started acting wierd. It periodically does strange things. All I can say about driving in LFS after is that it's sort of easy. What I don't like about nkPro though is that the drive doesn't feel smooth, the cars behaviour is a bit jagged if that makes sense. It's hard to say which is better for formula cars since we've never driven single seaters, I cn tell you the LFS ffb is crap though :p
But what makes iRaing really interesting, apart from its Apple-esque title, is the very (very to the 10th power) accurately modeled tracks, each precisely measured with special equipment. I own the 3 games, and LFS is still my favorite, but what's missing is real-world tracks. I don't care about real-world cars.
Agreed, I bet both lfs and nk would be fair contenders if they had scanned tracks though. Wish iRacing came out with a demo so I could make a comparison :(
You can get a month with 20 bucks; every penny's worth it. Spare a 20, and have fun for a month. Totally worth it in my opinion. You get a Solstice, a few road tracks, and Atlanta Motor Speedyway.
I would have done that a long time ago, but as a university student I only have some weekends free. The rest of the week is work, so 20 dollars for a total of 4 days of play isn't worth it. Which is why those guys should at least have a demo for people like me. The whole monthly payment thing is bs imo, digging my credit card out after a month of no play isn't my idea of convenient. And needing an internet connection to play is also a pain. The phys/tracks are great I agree, but the system isn't
thanks for that.. i know what force feed back is i just didn't know what ffb meant i didn't know what it was an acronym for.. thanks for the heads up.
He let off when he hit the track though. Good driving.

@TheRedsoxfan666 I think that was just the tyres gripping the road rather than the driver lifting off. This was just tons and tons of luck
jammydodgerman 1 year ago
@jammydodgerman Well obviously it take some luck but also knowing that if you keep your foot in the throttle you'll never get traction back.
TheRedsoxfan666 1 year ago
@TheRedsoxfan666 yes, i know

yea i can see your point there but for $100+ just for one year your better off getting lfs
joebob744 3 years ago
True, but netKar seems more realistic then both to me. And it's a one time payment from what I know. LFS for the while though :p

Yep netKar Pro is the best i have played, one of payment too.
Ever since i bought netKar Pro neither LFS or rFactor have been fired up for single seater racing.

what is FFB?

force feedback, it's how your computer wheel (or controller) responds to what's happening in the game.
