I'm fascinated by all that goes in to your underpainting. Your video production talents are catching - up with your talents as a painter. I have become almost emotionally invested in Callalily Butterfly Girl. I want to know her - I wonder what inspires her, what she has experienced, what she dreams about, what her "dark side" might be like (?). Great Painting. Great Post.

was the calage work in the background done with actual news paper or copys? i know nothing about coage. also i would love to here the story behind the painting if there is one.

Hey Ty, it's done with actual newspaper and then sealed before being painted. I usually use magazines, not newspaper, but I had this Financial Times sitting around and it's such a weird pink colour... I thought a financial newspaper would work well with my snooty upper class LA-princess-wannabe. :)
