No perfection is slightly different and this you have to put in each file manually with a SSH program. I made this video a long time ago but since then I have upgraded my filmware so I can't use this one anymore. I am just glad I made some videos of my themes so I can still see how cool they were back then.
Look at my other video titled "Vista Bliss Tutorial" since I do a start button in there also and it is basically the same thing as this one with just a different background. Every step you see me do in that other video is the same step as you would do to this theme also.

Actually I am going to agree with you. I showed off this theme and I don't even use it any more. I haven't had it on my iPhone since I made the video. I still think it is amazing though how much you can do with these little devices.
Well if you go look at my Vista Bliss tutorial I have put a folder in that rapidshare file that contains the "Spacer" apps. Just read the description in the Bliss tutorial video and I put a link and also put the entire file on there with a Read Me text that shows how to upload it to your phone using WinSCP. I would share this theme with you but I don't even have all the files for it anymore.
I can put the file in a Rapidshare link like my other themes if you really want. I don't know if you can use it though if you are on the new filmwares with the iPhones

Well those are not really spaces. There is actually a "dummy" application in those spots but I have made their icons invisible. Basicly if I click on those empty spaces a picture opens up showing 2 paint brushes then goes away after 15 seconds.

Yeah i Think it is also, even though i use Vista Bliss now and Alienware 1.0, it is strange cause everyone loves this theme and i haven't had it since the day after i made this video, i accidentally fucked up my phone and had to restore it and just never did feel like reinstalling it.
I have VistaPerfection 2.0. It's pretty bad ass, but Maximus is WAY cooler. I wish it was on the Installer app, to make the download/installation easier.
i dont understand i downloaded every thing put carrier icons where im supposed to and every thing i just dont understand how to put the start button in catorgories and just click the dock to get my apps up that looks like the real start button on vista please help im clueless
Well the Start button itself is part of the dock, all your actually doing is putting a invisible app on top of it, the easiest way i did it was to go into the spacer apps that come with maximus and just drag and drop one of the icons out of one of the spacer apps since they are invisible also and just put it into categories then create your Start app in categories and find the invisible icon on your selection list and the background i took out of the Vitility folder, i think that is it anyways.
alright i got the start button thanx for that but now its not its not putting the summerboard backgrounds in its just using my lock screen wall paper as my summerboard wall paper .any help?
Well it isn't actually a Vista operating system, your just mainly making your phone or ipod look like it is vista, nothing really changes on your phone

Shit well do you have the Start Background installed on your phone, all you do is open up the Vista Maximus folder and what ever theme you used you can get the Category background images from them, then just drag and drop the background image from that file into your Start app in categories and rename it to Default.png and all the files on the right side arn't actually apps they are just part of the background, kind of like the rest of the theme it is just clever hiding and unhiding lol

Well after you get the Background to look like that all you do is go to your Categories configuration and make sure you have "Hide Title" turned off so that you get the options at the top of each category app and then just enter the Apps you want in it into it and they will line up perfectly, don't know if you got all that or understand it but that is how you do it.
Now what do you mean Window Button? are you talking about the Start Button on the bottom? if you are try what i have replied with to Ogm4 on this page and it might help, i even put my Categories Configurations on this page to a reply to Ogm4

You need a SSH program like WinSCP, you can look it up and download it and then you just enter root as your user name and alpine as your password after you put your iPhone or iPod touch's IP address in that program and it will list all your files.

I used that Green Vitility or something like that for my actual theme and that was the dock that came with it. Are you using the Vista Maximus file that has everything in it?
Yeah it does, my iPhone is on 1.1.4, i had to mod the Vista a little, cause they made it for the iPod touch so i had to rename some of the icons myself before inserting them into the theme so that my Dock looked good.
Well if you already have the VistaMaximus file you just go into what ever Vista Theme you chose out of there and rename like i did the Music.png to iPod.png and the Videos.png to YouTube.png, i did that so my dock looks fine since the iTouches have buttons for vids and music where as the iPhone only has one that is named iPod that has music and vids all in one. this just changes it a little

Well you have to be able to SSH into your iPhone to put all the files one by one where they need to go, but if you just want to change the layout like that you can do it in like 15min but it takes longer to do all the buttons like on the installer. All you need is a SSH program and a few Apps from the installer to make it and of course the file which i am working on finding a new link to get it.

yeah it does that for like half the applications i have
you can change that by either clicking the screen button on the top left and then exiting
or you can log into your ipod/iphone with winscp
and choose a background image for the app that shows the pencil and paper at the begining
the pen and paper is sorta like a default start up image for if theres no image to show for an app
its normal and there is nothing wrong with your ipod

go into summerboard and at the bottom there are two swtiches for wether you want the icon text or not
so turn off the switch for dock text and that will take away the word start

Yeah i Think it is also, even though i use Vista Bliss now and Alienware 1.0, it is strange cause everyone loves this theme and i haven't had it since the day after i made this video, i accidentally fucked up my phone and had to restore it and just never did feel like reinstalling it.

I have VistaPerfection 2.0. It's pretty bad ass, but Maximus is WAY cooler. I wish it was on the Installer app, to make the download/installation easier.

i dont understand i downloaded every thing put carrier icons where im supposed to and every thing i just dont understand how to put the start button in catorgories and just click the dock to get my apps up that looks like the real start button on vista please help im clueless

Well the Start button itself is part of the dock, all your actually doing is putting a invisible app on top of it, the easiest way i did it was to go into the spacer apps that come with maximus and just drag and drop one of the icons out of one of the spacer apps since they are invisible also and just put it into categories then create your Start app in categories and find the invisible icon on your selection list and the background i took out of the Vitility folder, i think that is it anyways.

Well it isn't actually a Vista operating system, your just mainly making your phone or ipod look like it is vista, nothing really changes on your phone

Shit well do you have the Start Background installed on your phone, all you do is open up the Vista Maximus folder and what ever theme you used you can get the Category background images from them, then just drag and drop the background image from that file into your Start app in categories and rename it to Default.png and all the files on the right side arn't actually apps they are just part of the background, kind of like the rest of the theme it is just clever hiding and unhiding lol

welll what do u have turned on and of in the configuration? cuz i like how you have your 4 favorite apps n then on the right you have more apps but without the icon its just the name of the app and its staright in the line....i turned of what you told me to turn off but it still didnt work....welll hopefully you can help bro...thanx alot

Well after you get the Background to look like that all you do is go to your Categories configuration and make sure you have "Hide Title" turned off so that you get the options at the top of each category app and then just enter the Apps you want in it into it and they will line up perfectly, don't know if you got all that or understand it but that is how you do it.

Well you have to use Spacer Apps, they are just apps that have invisible icons and they do absolutly nothing.

hey guys if you want this you have to install the Bigboss's Beta/Experimental and Beta Source Repository..u dont have to add any source or anything.. jus install this and when you do go to ALL PACKAGES. and go down to Vista Perfection 2.0

You need a SSH program like WinSCP, you can look it up and download it and then you just enter root as your user name and alpine as your password after you put your iPhone or iPod touch's IP address in that program and it will list all your files.

Yeah it does, my iPhone is on 1.1.4, i had to mod the Vista a little, cause they made it for the iPod touch so i had to rename some of the icons myself before inserting them into the theme so that my Dock looked good.

Well if you already have the VistaMaximus file you just go into what ever Vista Theme you chose out of there and rename like i did the Music.png to iPod.png and the Videos.png to YouTube.png, i did that so my dock looks fine since the iTouches have buttons for vids and music where as the iPhone only has one that is named iPod that has music and vids all in one. this just changes it a little

Well you have to be able to SSH into your iPhone to put all the files one by one where they need to go, but if you just want to change the layout like that you can do it in like 15min but it takes longer to do all the buttons like on the installer. All you need is a SSH program and a few Apps from the installer to make it and of course the file which i am working on finding a new link to get it.
