Other thoughts on this is that scavenger will allow you to pick up a knife off of a corpse if the one you threw missed, and went off into some obscure corner or something. Best to have a handgun as your secondary, because while the riot sheild's melee is a 2 hit KO, every other weapon is a 1 hit with the knife, and handguns have the fastest swap out rate. so if u need to, you can tap Y, and go in for melee kills that they dont expect.

To me riot shields are nothing cuz I just jump knife them all the time. The throwing knife part, drop shot them. Or use the Model 1887 use 4point take down shoot on the sides of the riot shield and it penetrates the Riot shield.

EASY KILLSTREAKS

Riot shield is an amazing weapon! Perfect on HQ SD sabotage and domination!

Use the riot shield, blast shield perk and your fav 2ndry weapon, with two stun grenades, this prevents enemies running when they are stunned, you only have to melee them twice with shield to kill! Blast shield reduces by the risk of being killed by a grenade. I find you should charge at enemy when they throw it. Other trick is to take the hits until they reload, switch weapon then kill and switch back.

My melee tactics are: SMG and handgun with tactical knife (need for speed). Marathon, lighweight, commando. Speed is the key.

Tactical knife strikes faster, and much more often than a normal knife. With the commando it's a killing machine. I also use throwing knife to add more fun.

Shield slows you down, I never use it.

When using the shield if you move, your feet can be shot. Defending against more than 1 people is hard if they're not shooting from the same direction.

Its not very hard to figure out, but the answer is no, riot shield can NOT be broken, to kill them, peopl usually shoot the sides of them, or their feet if they arent looking down further enough, but riot shield is impossible to break.

i shot through a riot sheild and got a headshot with intervention with stopping power and fmj but i used thermal scope so it was easy to see their head through the sheild. and it was mid range shot.

The riot shield will get mad cracked, so that decreases ur vision from behind the shield, but it will keep deflecting bullets as usual

I use Scavenger Pro when using this tactic, all you have to do is walk over a dead body and you have another throwing knife. Also, I'm not sure if anyone knows this, but if you get stuck with a semtex, point your riot shield down to the floor, and the blast won't kill you. You may need to use blast shield, but trust me, give it a go.

throwing knife / blast shield. blast shield is the only way to survive a semtex someone sticked on ur shield, and if u run into someone who throwed it on you, he will die, and you survive. marathon pro, and lightweigth, and marathon. cos with marathon u can keep running, and when people run away from you to reload, with lightweight u run faster. trust me, i completed every challengewith riot and got a k/d of 2,6 ( per 1 death that means xD , so not 2 on 6 )

Another thing is Lightweight that will make you move faster and sleigh of hand pro, then you use a 2nd handgun that will hopefully be a beretta and a knife. Change quickly to it while having commando and charge your reloading target. most probably the target will be like "ZOMFGWTFOMGBBQ?!!" and next time riot shield him!

Well, Riot Shield has been letting me down really.

whole heartedly agree with Scavenger, just in case you miss and cant find the damn knife.

But people are pretty consistently shooting/knifing me THROUGH the shield. It seems that the black bit is where I die from the most.

And irritating as fuck to see grenades hit my feet... IN FRONT of the shield, but watch the killcam and see it just wiff the back of my ankles to blow up behind me.

yeah most people already knew of this tactic. Heres why you shouldnt use a riot sheild. you can be stuck by semtex easier due to the larger target surface. whilst running with it your easily shot. its effective only while facing your attacker. therefore your EASILY flanked. you can still be stunned and flashed reducing your protecting awarness or your enemies. whilst holding the sheild you cant knife lunge only riot lunge which takes 2 hits to kill and switching would tk 2 long.
