  • No question about it...Group 22 of The Four Freshmen are the world's greatest jazz vocal recording artists in history! They've been non-stop since 1948 and I've been lucky to have known all of them from the start. Sadly we lost the last two original members just this year. But Group 22 continues the incredible tradition and we look forward to seeing them several times this year as well as attend the annual FFS convention in Reno, NV in October. Try to see them sometime if you can.

  • GREAT!

  • You are more than welcome! We're anxiously awaiting their concert down here in Palm Coast in March!

  • there was never ever any thing like them i first heard them in 1951 age 13 never stopped listening since.they were THE BEST.many thanks

  • Bravissimo! I have loved the Four Freshmen since their early days. I also like this new group--they've maintained the sound and yet add a refreshing harmony. We see them whenever they're in the Bay Area. We regretted not being able to seem them when they sang at SF's Yoshi's last September. Hoping to combine a Las Vegas vacation and also seeing them next July! We played their holiday album this past season, and it was really enjoyable. Carry on!

  • Ah Eliphazable...you are SOOOO lucky! You live right there where they perform a lot. One of them even lives there too. So mark your calendar for July 10th & 11th because they will be appearing live at the Southport Hotel & Casino. You will NOT want to miss their performance. They are absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!

  • Even though I live in Las Vegas. Its like a snowy evening in Vernmont.

  • Thanks. To me they're the world's greatest jazz vocal recording artists. I've been lucky to have known all of them from the beginning. I had fun putting these together.

  • You may or may not back further than me. I saw them the first time in Raleigh NC in 1959 (I think). I was a student at NC State. I've loved hearing this group all my life. I really like the new version too. I appreciate what you do for the memories of this group.

  • Yes...I was fortunate to be there from the very beginning. I went to the same school of music with the original four members of Group #1. I've known all 23 of them and will be seeing Group 22 in concert on Tuesday, March 16th. Am I lucky, or what? Thanks for your kind comments! RG

  • This combination in '99 sounded great. I've seen the VHS on this and totally enjoable.
