For those responsible for posting this service, I thank you! I couldn't attend her service, but paused at 2:00 p.m. as was requested of me, to say a prayer and be with you all in Spirit to honor the beautiful Eight Belles. May she always be a shining tribute to this Sport of Kings, and a reminder to us all what we risk at the start of each horse race. May we all stay safe out there on America's racetracks, on Ky. Derby Day and each racing day!

Beautiful memorial service. I was there in spirit. She is on my mind all the time. Some of you know me and know that I make up these addresses. Eight Belles is resting in peace and you will see her again as you can see. :)

Thank you for posting this. I was at Churchill when Belle ran in the Derby. My heart was also broiken that day, but I know her Legacy will continue for many years to come and horses will be safer for it.
