  • @newave Was your 72 pin connector dirty?

  • clean the game cartridge with windex stupid. Take apart the console and clean and it will work. ALso a problem with the original nes is after pushing the game down the pins wont read the game cuz there all bent and corroded. Put the game in the slot and dont push down cuz the 72 pin connector pins are bent up. thumbs up if my comment helped you at all

  • This video should be renamed How to Make Shigeru Miyamoto Cry. You don't blow on the cartridge fool or cram it in the slot.

  • you gotta talk dirty to it wile blowing a warm breath..the NES is like a chick, its not gonna work if you jam it in like that..Ive noticed instead of jamming it all the way in..If you put it in just enough it goes past the lip before you push it down, itll work better..even better, take it apart and clean the inside and bend the 72 pin connector pins just a little so it holds the cart more snug, works like a charm..and even better than that clean it up and just get a new 72 pin connector.. fixes

  • dumbass, buy a new 72pin Connector -.-

  • at least you get some kind of picture all i get is a purple screen or sometimes a purple screen that flashed back and forth

  • @ern265 this is an easy fix...you can do it with a screw driver and a safty pin, look up "nes fix without getting 72 pin connector" on youtube...I fixed a Nes in like 30 mins and I don't know much about that kinda stuff..the Nes is such a basic machine its redic

  • @Nardz024 thanks mate but my dad somehow fixed it and made it better! :) ive been staying up all night playing The legend of Zelda, TNMNT, and Super Mario Bros 3! thanks for the help by the way! :)

  • @ern265 Awesome man! those are all classics...actually I just finished Zelda myself recently, Im currently working on adventures of Link..no walk throughs or players guides either(the only way to play zelda). im glad its working though, hope you have many great hours of classic gaming on that machine.

  • @Nardz024 oh i will! :) thanks again! and yeah that's the only and best way to play zelda even though it gets frustrating when your stuck in a place. the other day i was playing zelda Ocarina of Time and i was stuck in the water temple and after hours of messing around i finally beat it without any walk throughs and it just felt great

  • how can a game get that dusty or dirty in a day (figuring you blow in it a thousand times a day)?

  • This happened to me when I was over at my friends house and we were going to play the NES (Some reason it wasn't working) My friend claim it was a broken NES but he was wrong when I set it up back at my house it was working.

  • ok what the fuck am i the only one who watched it to the very end just to see if he would get it workin

  • Nes in a nutshell.

  • change you'r 72 pin nes!!!!!! and an advice DONT treat the nes like that!! there are a lot of tutorials search one!!!!

  • I like how on the back of all the games it says, Do Not Clean With Alcohol, yet everyone says clean with Alcohol.

  • My god, you're so gay.

  • ok first..... dont be so rough!!!!!!!!!! AND DON'T BLOW IN THE GAMES!!!!!!!! you should use alcohol to clean the games.

  • ちょwwwww

    魂斗羅がやばい事にwwww

  • Can somebody please answer this post. I bought an NES game lot and a lot of the cartridges are missing some teeth. I have two old NES' that could probably have their pins replaced, but the games work occasionally, but with similar results to the ones in this video. I was wondering if when I change the pins in the NES, the games will work pretty much all of the time even with some of their teeth missing.

  • Haha :) <3 Nice sounds from the NES not working, wonder if i could make a minimal techno track with it :P

  • when your nes game won't work, just do this: while the system is on, and it is in there, just wiggle the game. and keep doing it until you get clear picture. keep it there, turn off the nes, then turn it back on! wala, you got your game to work! Blowing in your games gets spit everywhere, and will eventually rust the connectors.

  • @TheCarolStreamKid Wiggling teh games is even as fail as blowing 'em

just clean them with paper and brush them, and you nes is back to its years!;D

  • XD Omg I am just cracking up at this video!

  • DONT JAM IT IN THERE MORON

  • You're just making it worse. CLEAN THE GAME FOR GOODNESS SAKE! You are just ruining the game AND NES. Don't use water or rubbing alchlohol, by the way.

  • @adammurphey Are you saying you actually tried this? All I was saying is that the video was a joke......

  • poor contra *Sniffle*

  • this was a joke ok? i can see that i dont think he ment for anyone to try this

  • @ljbgamer wow about 1 in a 100 commenters actually get this...ah well....

  • @ljbgamer uh? this is what we all did?...apparently you don't get your own comment ^

  • dont be so roguh with it geese what it do to u

  • I hope you did not sell that on ebay ( i just bought one)

  • r u a fucking dumbass i dare u to even look at your 72 pin connector just to see how fucked up it is

  • saliva will only ruin it try using rubbing acohol of windex with a q-tip and coat the teeth of the game a few times, then use a fresh one to dry it.

  • I thought this was funny, lol. Everyone needs to calm down. ;P

  • Replace 72 pin connector... DUH! you can get one on Ebay for around $8 and it's worth it. And also, BTW, did you try a quick sweep of rubbing alchohol over the cartridge? That can also work (I use 70%).

  • Replace 72 pin connector..... Duh! You can get one on Ebay for around 8 bucks and it is worth it. :) (very easy to install as well)

  • Ah, the memories

  • Dude its not working because your beating the shit out of it when you put it in, just put it in, you don't have to freaking kill it.

  • no, no ,no. you're doing it wrong. give it a good blow, then breath into to it slowly producing heat and moisture.

  • your beating the shit out of it! no wonder its f*cked up!

  • I'm 12, and I love da classics :)

  • ITS BECAUSE YOU PUT THE GAME AT THE BOTTOM EVERYONE KNOWS THAT IF YOU PUT THE GAME AT THE BOTTOM THE GAME WONT WORK!

  • @1341ryanmorrison mine onely works when its at the bottom.

  • u messed up the pin connector. Change the pin conector

  • Put in new pins

  • yea thats prolly why its broken you treat it like its a next gen console

  • Have you try a 1min round in the Microwave-oven? It works better if cart is in. Just try, make sure you stay in front of the oven in case it catches on fire!

    LMAO

  • no wait thats CONTRA!

  • clean your games, clean your nes (change the reader if is necesary) , and cut a little chip (see tutorials) are into nes to see PAL A and PAL B games. this is the Solution for a Completely new NES

  • dont blow on the cartridges... it just makes them corrode faster. blowing doesnt even remove dust anyways.

  • It's never to do with dirt.

It's never to do with blowing.

It bloody never has to do with cookies.

To 'fix' a NES, other than buying a new 72 pin connector, is to insert the game a certain way.

  • Blow longs ways it works better!!!

  • haha brings back alot of childhood memories :P

  • Nostalgia . . . I remember getting my brother or sister to blow since I thought they had better NES cart blowing skills than me for some strange reason. If you make some kind of sexual reference to this, then you are so super cool /sarcasm

  • @TheAbsentMinded1 your sister blows you?

  • Very weird viedeo but for some reason it was enjoyeble to watch.

  • The original nintendo pins are poorly designed and they suck!

  • Oh no, its the gaming glitch gremlins! How are those glitches, you like'em!

  • this made me laugh so much

  • that sucks

  • it could be your 72 pin thing

  • meant to say q tips

  • I use cotton swabs and windex to clean my old games like this. I don't know what effect the windex will have on the games in the long run, but it makes them work really good for me.

  • by pushing the game down you fucked the pin connector inside. go on ebay buy yourself a new 72 pin connector for like 5 bucks install it. Stop pushing the games down.

While you are there you might as well buy the NES security bit to open your games and clean them.

  • U know it was uploaded on the first of April right, idiots?

  • Actually, it was uploaded on the 31st of March.

  • @Praization wow for some reason when i was using my ipod it said 1st of april, i don't know why, guess i was wrong... my bad

  • Buy a new 72 pin.

  • lol!

  • @Laynel8

If he smacks it enough, he might actually fix it. No joke.

  • Yo kid, clean the contacts with a Q-tip and windex. Works every time, and they play perfect for months afterwards.

  • This is the dumbest thing i have ever seen! Kid sure does not know about electronics!

  • ohhh dios, pense ke esto solo me pasaba a mi XD

  • this is so fake thats not even what the contra boot up screen looks like, it's black this is purple.

  • Dude, are you a fucking moron? It's no wonder your shit doesn't work, you treat it like shit. You shouldn't be around technology.

  • @xXNimbleXx thats how you get this shit workin fucktard

  • I wonder if its rare to have perfect NES but my NES whatever the game i put in it its work first time :O its the first NES i ever get that work so great.

  • ur getting mouist air in to it just get a new one they stil sell nes games

  • who figured blowing into the catridge would fix it? lol

  • lol, why did we think that blowing it would work! apparently meth spirits on a cotton stick will work.

  • ROFL!!

  • lucky my NES is in better shape.

the 72-pin connector has never been cleaned since we got it in 1988, and the games still work with the wiggle trick. no problems at all.

AC adapter is kinda dying though

  • lol

    this video made me laugh

    5/5

  • I love this video. I bought an NES about a month ago. I blew into it, I cleaned the games, I even took it apart and tried adjusting the pins. None of it worked. I watched this video and now if my games aren't working I shake them around and they work good as new. Great video, EXTREMELY HELPFUL!

  • clean the game with rubbing alcohol and Q tips

  • you need a new 72 pin adapter. they are on ebay

  • I hope the 8-Bit fairy comes and takes your NES and shoves it up your ass while your sound asleep. HOW IN THE FUCK DO YOU TREAT CONTRA LIKE THAT??

  • its just a innocent NES DON'T Kill it retard

  • Idiot, you treat your games like crap. Then you expect them to work? That's like beating someone up and calling them names that asking them politely if they'd like to buy you a smoothie. What the heck is your problem?

  • LOL

  • to make the nes game work...u must slide the the game like...when its about to enter the nes console..press on the game and slide it hard and wait for a 1 sec or 2....then let go....it might work or it might not...I tryed it....and it wont break your nes games...just be careful

  • OMG this happens to me too i hate it!

sometimes it's not even worth it!

  • Wow... how anticlimactic.

  • God damn did you make this using your fucking cell phone?

  • Q-TIPS ALCOHOL

  • loooooooool

  • Jesus Christ. It's horrible to watch this.

  • Nice

  • clean it

  • lol, i remember having to do that stuff, it was so frustrating. nes when the game and system would work right was actually fun.

  • no wonder your nes is fucked man

  • yeah, he just aggressively shoves the games in like that. The sideways shuffle usually works for me.

  • ARG!!!

I NEED A NES FOR MY NINTENDO COLLECTION!!!

but it isn't in the store anymore!

    XD

  • go to amazon or something

  • really?!? they only came out just in 1985...

  • But I wasn't in this world in 1985!

    xD

so I have to buy it somewhere on the internet (which can be expensivebecause I live in Norway in Europe... -.-'')

  • i live in sweden and i am 17 years old... i bought a nes for about 300 swedish krona not much but it has this problem too... realy it is anoying... how do i fix it?

  • i got one in a store for 20 dollars... in sweden XD

  • 300 Swedish Krona? Jättekult! :L

That's like 250 Norwegian krona! and I'm Norwegian!

but when did you buy it?

  • the day before yesturday ;D from a store.... and it bugged like in this video.... but i changed the 72 pin connector for a new one (cost me about 100 swedish krona) now it workes nice... no more bugs... and everytime you buy a new game open it... Clean it and put it in a dust protector.. that helps to keep the game clean

  • Man, I'm almost desperate for a NES, I'm a Nintendo collector so...

But in every shop and webshop sell it for like 2000 Norwegian krona, which is like 2500 Swedish krona!

  • the most expensive i seen in sweden is about 1000 swedish krona... i have a store near my place there they sell nes for about 800 swedish krona but they can play all games (from Europe, USA and Japan) and they are refirbrished (cleaned and the pinconnector changed inside) i got it for 300 from a other place so yeah... games are from 20 to 200 swedish krona here ;D

  • I did that as well, and it worked on most of my games, but for some reason Zelda has never worked on it since I got it

  • it must be something wrong with the game then...

  • I thought so too, but then I tried it on my Retro Duo (which I got for playing NTSC games) and it worked fine (even though the sound was a bit fast, and the colour was a bit off, but that's the problem with playing PAL games on NTSC consoles anyway)

I've seen another video, and pulled a pin out one of the chips. It's great now

  • the same thing happened 2 me tonight!!! i jst got zelda 4 my nintendo & it diddnt work!!! but i cleaned it w/ qtip dipped in rubbing alcohol. try it it works. jst ignore that part of the warning label.

  • ur retarded do u no wat the hell r u doig to nes

  • Your doing it all wrong....you will just make the connectors get all bent and out of shape this way!

  • story of my life

  • wow... :) i love your lips~ ^^

  • lmao I used to hate that

  • jajaaa i laughed a lot

  • you have to take it apart and pull each spring. ive done that to all my friends and it has worked.

  • Seralemar, you are an angry person. Have you tried therapy?

  • get a new 72 pin connecter

  • lol

  • theres videos on youtube on how to fix the problems permanantly it worked on 7 nintendos for me so i sold them n kept one for me and my girlfriend all u have to do is disable the lockout chip and clean the 72 pin connector with some rubbing alcohol and bend them up a little bit with a small flathead screwdriver guaranteed to work everytime. also it helps extend the life of ur fixed nes by giving a good cleaning 2 all ur nes catridges with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol

  • This works, I did the same exact thing to mine and now it works almost like new.

  • Haha, I Agree With ShadowSalt

  • is that spongebob 0:33?...lol

  • no you fix it.

  • Anyone know why my NES graphics are messed up? the games work, just the graphics are messed up.

  • dont blow into the carts because 1: your spit will get onto the connectors and corrode the connectors and 2 your nes isnt gay

  • It's definately the carts issue however, anything is worth a try when it comes to Contra.

  • change the 72-pin connector, clean the cartdriges with rubbing alcohol and disable lock-out chip... thats it!

  • Use a Q-TIP with some Windex! If that doesn't work, replace the 72PIN connector.

    STOP ABUSING YOUR SYSTEM! EHHH

  • dawg, its the cartridge

  • Watching this angered me like I was the one trying to get the NES to work.

Good god I have been there.

  • haha. I hate when it happens, but love when it works :)

  • I bought a new 72 pins connector and it sucks, at fist it was awesome and worked cool but its endurance sucks, yesterday I was trying to play Zelda II but the connector didnt work

  • i can tell you why you have to have all of your games clean i replaced mine and it works great its been fixed for about 2 years now but i took all of my games apart and clean them spottless

  • Yeah for now; look it up. No matter what you do when you blow on games you leave spit residue that will temporary help with the electrical connection on the contact. But then the spit evaporates and corrodes the contacts so a good connection isn't made. Instead, just take a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol to the contacts and never blow in them again.

  • put it in and pull it out slightly where it rubs when pushing down and power on. worked for me back in the day

  • Hahaha

    Ahh, memories.

  • hahaha - very good. ;-) This reminds of the "What's up" Budweiser ads. Needs 1 thing to make this brilliant:

    Last 3 seconds of film:

NES goes up in the air and disgruntled person creams it with an aluminum baseball bat.

  • Yeah. Don't blow on them.

  • Ahhh Super C.

  • That game gave me headaches and still does.

  • In your case, open it up and do the following (it takes forever to get things right, but it fixed my NES):

    1. Disable lockout chip (easy if you know how.)

    2. Blow like mad on and rub the back of the 72pin (cart slot)

    3. Tweak with the cart loader's screws until you get something (hammer reset until the game works. When it works, the screws are aligned)

    4. Reassemble the NES

    5. Each time you load a game, it might need a wiggle

If this doesn't work, get a new 72pin

  • he is not rely fixing his nes is he he is only trying to get his games to work but it is a dam good video

  • nice

  • ..Contra?

  • makes me think of those commercials I can't remember, but it had this same type of style.

  • Replace the 72 pin chip

  • *lol everywhere in the world we have the same problems! I hate that shittttttt! :-P

  • Seriously, a 72pin upgrade!!

  • disable the lockout chip+72pin= nes playing forever

  • Well, that would not work. Disabling the lock out chip might cause your NES to be damaged.

  • Well dumbass, you blew on the cartridge.

That gets moisture into the carttridge and corrodes it.

If its not the game, buy a new 72 pin off ebay

  • I suppose you play world of warcraft or something like it and live in your parents basement like some half nobbled troll. >_>

We play these games cos they are a)still great and b)remind us that all games don't have to be about bump mapping and bloom.

  • geta higher voltage power cord i have a 120 wat adapter for it and they all work like new

  • these game came out when they were kids.

  • We all did that back in the day , and eventually most games work because of it. Man, i miss playin Tecmo ha ha. Throwin 100 yd touchdown passes with montana, and i remember the original had Hercheal walker with dallas before he was traded to Minnesota because they were idiots and paid for us 3 superbowls. Thanks Minnesotans

  • I posted a video of mine that should help you fix your NES. I hope that it helps you.

  • lol no wonder the fucker dunt work if ya blow on it and rattle it.

  • That usually fixes it.

  • the guy there looks like a dork! lol

  • Its probably from how you treat it....

  • I have NES too but it doesnt work.

only the power light is flashing and i need to buy new connector to games
