I think he might need to exchange that 3000. Mine never had lines. But it is way faster than the 2000. Vice city stries loaded in half the time time it took liberty city stories to load on the 2000.

I had a 1000, and it fell apart so fast its not funny. The analog stick broke off and drifted so any game that required the analog stick was a nightmare (lol I was cussing in MGPO cuz Snake wouldn't stay still), and the umd door just barely latched on. The mechanics were all screwed up.

I'd say just get a 3000 since the hardware is a lot better, and dont' get a PSPGo since there's no umd support.

Dammit! I have a 1000. The processor is faster, the color is better, there's no ghosting, it's lighter, it's more comfortable to hold, etc. Seriously, with the intensive games like MGSP and Crisis Core, it lags pretty bad. Not enough to ruin the game, but it's still annoying. I'm probably going to either give my 1000 to my bro(he needs a PSP) or make it my emulation machine. Not sure which though.

i thought it was called the psp slim and it is lighter than the 1000 or 2000.... but no major improvements besides the fact that your not constantly cleaning your fingerprints off it but thats only on the sliver one the black one still get fingerprints on it sides you can just upgrade your firmware if you have wireless nearby so you can get the psn store on your psp 2000 or 1000 so spend maybe 10 bucks at mcdonalds to get some wireless to upgrade or spend 200 bucks on a new one

The heavier it is, the harder it falls. A 1000 is aobut 2 times heavier than the 3000. The 1000 also has more of a cheapy plastic case. Drop it a few times and its dead. The 3000? you could drop it all you want lol
