i just found out and researched the crash that took buddy's life and hearing them talk about planes made me feel like bawling my eyes out :'( rip buddy, j.p., and richard (and the pilot)
Because (i think) buddy hollys wife didnt want lubbock to use his name for anything and she wanted money for anything they used it for. So FMX (lubbocks radio station) made a big festival and called it "Bloody Holly". I guess to get back at her or something
Very cool to find this here. I first heard this interview in 1984 when I was 12 yrs old. I actually recorded it from the radio and played it all the time because I was really into Buddy Holly at the time. Listening again has brought tears to my eyes.
