I lived in that Marina for two months and the little town is awsome.Perfect to get away from the stress of the big city ,empty streets, no traffic, a very nice little public library and ten minutes away from the breath taking beach. Love it, love it, love it.

Palmetto is an overall sucky place, but I do think down by downtown Palmetto where that breakfast place is and the basketball courts are, its kinda peaceful and the park there seems kinda quiet if you wanna go walking. Otherwise, Palmetto has very little to offer besides the fact its a pitstop between Bradenton and St Pete.

To all he people who are saying that palmetto is a nice place i have lived in palmetto since i was born now im 14 and when i was 13 i was jogging at sutton park around 8pm and i got chased by black people i guess they were trying to mug me but i was very lucky cuz im athletic so i guess i outran them long enough all the way to my house i lived in the regatta arms apartments when i got there we called the cops this vid should show you the bad side of palmetto where the blacks and mexicans live
Palmetto is a wonderful place. My wife and I and our family of regular people greatly enjoy coming to our condo at Riviera Dunes and visiting with the wonderful people that live there. But after listening to the narrator on this video it is the first time that I have felt unwelcome. This man is clearly embittered by the condo development in Palmetto and the "greedies" that live there. What a shame. I know nothing but wonderful people there. Very disappointing.
I lived in Bradedton since 1979 and now a resident of Englewood, Fl. A much smaller town then both Palmato and Bradenton. The crime is low also which makes this place one of the better places to live on the west coast of Florida. I could almost say that I can not think of a better place to be.
Palmghetto! It seems pretty ghetto, and then you cross into Memphis FL and realize Palmghetto isn't so terrible
