  • Came here from "Tell Someone You Love Them" did not know there was this baby lying in wait...

  • The movie is called Follow Me.It's about some surfers traveling around the world surfing.

  • Whats the movie?

  • Even the sucky music of the 60's, like this, sounds better than the absolute bullshit they call music today. Get on craigslist and buy and old organ- of course any Hammond tone wheel organ will do, but a Wurlitzer 4300 or the bigger 4500 can also groove out! I prefer Wurli's myself.

  • Dancing on the cliffs to a transistor radio. Now that my friends,is 60's class! And she's blonde!!!!

  • Brilliant stuff! And my absolute favourite car in the world! (The Karmann)

By the way, it is both big AND clever to smoke on a beach!

    Cheers,

    Sean

  • I'd LOVE to make that bouffanted blonde in the little red Italian convertible walk real funny the next day and giggle in spite of being sore.

  • @jrrylpz I just realised . Have you considered Directing or Producing .

  • Great tune, awesome editing jrrylpz. The whole thing really keeps me interested. You have a story board mind. Its a great gift you have. Do you know anything about Karen Ciral. I grew up around where she did, but do not know anything about her. -peace-

  • @Dakers11 All the info I know is from her entry on imdb, sorry.

  • @jrrylpz cant find it in the web ... :P any clue?

  • @danytoon Sorry for the confusion. The music is from the film 'Follow me' while most of the clips are from Russ Meyer's 'Good morning... and Goodbye!'. I haven't seen the original, only the YT clip I used. Hope this finally helps.

  • From the film FOLLOW ME 1969

  • @SURFSTYLEY4 I see the confusing, the music is from the surf film FOLLOW ME but the footage is from a Russ Meyer film?? i don't recognize the footage but the car is one he would use...

  • Wich movie is? Looks italian...

  • this is so funny!

  • Just love this song!!!!!!!!!! DD&B were at the end of their career and this unknown song should have received alot of airplay but did not, probably because they were not as popular anymore and this film called "Follow Me" flopped at the box office. I have the album and there are two versions of this song. This video features the "reprise" version of the song but cuts off the neat ending! Too bad. The album has some great pictures of the guys. Thanks for this video and song!

  • I watched it for the hundredth time! One of my favorite videos

  • Thanks man. It is the 'definition' of a catchy tune... I am still humming it.

  • @jrrylpz I agree with you about the catchiness of this, Jerry. How much of that catchiness would you attribute to the bossa nova rhyyhm in this? I'm tninking 95%. You? This is on Stu Phillips hoepage as one of his favorites -nice job Jerry! chuck

  • love it. So lively and lovley.

PS I want the same radio )

  • I'm all in favour of spontaneous 60s groovy dancing, we should all just do it whenever the mood takes us...I think you'll find the world would be a better place for it. Can you dig it?

And don't forget ladies, its neither feminine nor attractive to smoke on the beach. That cigarette is just so awful, but SO hysterically funny.

  • Ahh, a simpler time when people flaunted bad habits like - smoking while tanning, and dancing jerkily to Sony transistor radios...

  • @ Totally. Spontaneous 60s grooving could save the world!

  • @SilvioFavorites I'm listening over & over as well. I'm about to meet the man who WROTE this song in 2 weeks! His name is Stu Phillips & his name should be as well known as all the others we could rattle off in an instant. He discovered the Marcels in 1961 (Blue Moon), he created the Hollyridge Strings & scored most of Glen Larson's productions for 9 years at Universal Studios, including Knight Rider & Battlestar Gallactica. He is one HELL of a musician!

  • Ahh..........summer beach sounds......great sunny weather ......a Sony "transistor" radio .... a white sports car ..... cool babes on the beach .....brilliant !!!

    Al

  • You don't get much more 'upbeat' than that!

  • that chick should lose the cig...

  • .... nasty habit.

  • Always loved this song! Haven't seen the movie yet though, which I believe is a surfing flick.

  • Its from 1969s surf movie soundtrack, 'Follow Me'. Great music.

  • lol @ the part where he goes out of the car! xD ^^ Excellent video and I guess that's surreptitious advertising.. I want a SONY radio now ;D ^^'

  • I am not one to criticise other people's dancing skills, but...

  • Great song for driving!

  • ... especially in a convertible!
