Do that, it works a treat, though sometimes you have to look arround to see where a bag has dropped. I used to run a set on my OO gauge in the dark to be realistic!!
Nice one, only 45mph. Seems a bit slow to me but then thinking about it, it would probably have damaged the train or the equipment running at a much faster speed.
we say 45MPH but this is a preserved line so you would only get 25 but anyway it's still away to recreate it and thats what makes me go every year (i'm even gonna make a TPO set on my OO-gauge railway it's so inspirational)
Of course mail trains were hauled by fast engines in real life. But NVR is only demonstrating the process so the use of a tank loco will suffice. The end of the line is only a short distance away and a B1 or Standard 5 running at a speed of 80 mph would overshoot.73050 and Mayflower will soon be running again but who in their right mind would waste such locos on the very short run as this. Mayflower and large diesels HAVE hauled railmail trains at the Sutton Cross line side set anyway.
thats the thing during the day i heard one of the guys say they only exchanged mail at roughly 45MPH at about the 70s they tried it a little faster but it wrecked to coaches would've been good to see the B1 or standard 5 on the TPOs but at the moment it would only be the 5 coz the set ain't vacum braked
the 73050 sagas been playing with me for ages it's 1 year since she steamed thanks for the info mate i appolagise for my mate Acranesvideos he does get like that when he finds things to hate i mean it's the gordon brown thing again you like him or you hate him it is likely that soon i will delete all but littlegiant's comment and try to edit the text or remove the video all together

TPOs are supposed 2 b fast hauled by a fast engine like a black 5 or B1, not slow hauled by a saddle tank! The NVR is not really thaT GOOD NOW
