  • What color? Sonic blue? I know they make a Kurt cobain reissue mustang like this in Japan, I don't know color though. I think kurts was sonic blur

  • Nice job on the guitar

  • hey man it's me again sorry for being like your number 1 stalker lol I have another question my mustang has 2 . 500k pots in it and sounds a bit to much what did you get for your's I'm not sure if I need to change the tone pot or the volume pot or both

  • @wipers86 - I used 500k for volume and 250k for tone. I rewired everything from scratch.

You can always roll off some treble with your tone if you find too much bite.

  • @marlonmm thnx for your feed back again man I appreciate it

  • where do you buy you 're mustang ?? good job sappy is beautiful

  • @wipers86 - I used hotter pickup to compensate for mustang's lack of sustain. Just recently swapped the DiMarzio PAF with A JB.

Also, I used a vintage 65 tailpiece (bought from ebay) which has a stiffer springs. I don't need to lower the cigar tubes are others do.

  • @wipers86 Dimarzio PAF is brighter and cleaner while JB's thick and full sounding. I had another mustang fitted with JB jr but did not like the dark sound. Even with the single coil size humbuckers you will still need to swap out that 250k volume pot to 500k to get a fuller sound.

  • @wipers86 - for me it's a compromise because I still prefer and find it fun to wank that vibrato bar. =)

I did block the trem of my jagmaster with a piece of wood. Makes the guitar sound brighter.

  • man that clean sound is just amazing! might just get dimarzios pick ups soon

  • sorry for posting it so many times, my computer froze..

  • how do you tune this guitar into half step? ive tried but it just goes back to standard

  • @axlesteel12 - Tune all strings down and wang the trem bar. Do it again until pitch is stable.

  • @marlonmm Hey, where is "Fender Mustang" on the head of neck?

  • @OlympiaMusicTV - i got this old mustang neck as is from ebay. no decal but scale is alright.

  • @marlonmm Oh, ok

  • hey, I have a 1996 fender jag-stang and it has the same bridge as your mustang. and I was wondering how you tune it in half step, cause when i do it works for about an hour but then the bridge equals itself out and pulls the string back into half step... what do I do???

  • @axlesteel12 allow the strings to get used to the tuning and keep it in that tuning. try not using the temolo bar too. i found my mustang has trouble with the 4th and 5th string in half step though and have to tune it everytime.

  • @bringbackthe1960sppl Ok thanks, I ended up just locking the tremelo, that solved the problem.

  • @axlesteel12 or that lol

  • @bringbackthe1960sppl ha, thanks anyway though bro, good cover btw!

  • @axlesteel12 thanks for watching!

  • what tuning did you use?

  • @RrVvEeNn - half step down(Eb)

  • @marlonmm was it a pain in the ass to route your mustang for a humbucker? or a piece of cake?

    Please reply

  • @iHateThisShirt - A luthier routed the body and pickguard for me. Easier that way.

  • @marlonmm whats a luthier?

  • @iHateThisShirt - google it bro. don't want to give you inaccurate info. =)

  • @marlonmm alrite thanks

  • good))

  • thnx for the feed back

  • @wipers86 - Try to apply vaseline or graphite at the nut slots. It'll help a bit. Or, have your guitar tech file the nut slots according to the string gauge you use.

  • @wipers86 block the tremolo by not allowing it to move.

  • @wipers86 - I usually raise the cigar tube higher so that string tension will have more control over the springs. But no matter how you set the cigar tube height you will have this problem once the strings started to bind into the nut over time.

  • @wipers86 - If you like jangly, use a stock mustang neck pickup or SSL-1. For warmer neck pickup, try the '62 reissue. Just installed one in my cyclone. I might put this to replace the crap tex-mex.

  • how much did it the stock guitar cost? I could buy 1965 reissue mustang for $750 but that feels a little high to me.

  • @BlitzKriege35 Usual '65 Reissues go for $939.99.....$750 is over priced but pretty damn good compared to $939.99 wouldn't you say?

  • hey man, did you buy that guitar on ebay? cause i've seen those on there, i feel like buying one, but mostly because of the humbucker in it. now kurt used a jeff beck seymore duncan sh-4 humbucker on his mustangs, but he did use dimarzio humbucker on his jaguar! but if i buy a mustang like that i'm going to swap the humbucker.

  • @puduqu - it's a stock 65 reissue that i modified.

  • Really nice

  • What a wonderful performance. I do love it.

  • Nirvana SUCKS

  • @Commentssuck you sir are a fag

  • @Commentssuck hey , hey ... youre mom sucks

  • i like it the sound

  • Nice sound. I wonder if the Lake Placid Blue Mustang is sold somewhere. Too bad its not in lefty model or else I'd get it.

  • Hey, Great sound...This Laney VC15 can take any distortion pedals??

  • @lastsousa - yes, better that vox ac15 does.

  • Sonic Blue - Daphne blue.?

  • @iC00Ler - daphne blue

  • Nice guitar but i think you should have left is as standard. If you want a guitar with a humbucker buy a fat strat or something.

  • i covered this tune acoustic - fav Nirvana song - u do it well=) 5starz!

  • @ANTIKORPproductions - yup, your version goes into my favorite playlist.

  • nice stang. I just recently installed a JB in mine you can check it out on some of my covers

  • I can't see the Fender logo

I prefer Fiesta Red or Olympic white

    for Mustang

  • perfect!

  • Fantastic!!!!

  • thanks.

  • what is colour?

  • 65 RI is daphne blue.

  • where did you get it?

  • from ishibashi.

  • y not kurtify your life and off yourself?

  • I like his music but not his lifestyle.

    simple as that.

  • Great job 5 stars

  • great! i love it and thanx for accepting mee 5*****

  • Sonic Blue 65? Never see it before

  • Oh yeah, the only 65 ri here is the slab body which is daphne blue.

The rest of the parts are pieced together. It should be called "franken-stang"
