She died from an infection of ick. That stuff is nasty. The thing that made me really upset was that she was such a good healthy fish, but we got a new fish and added it to the aquarium and the new one was the one that was infected. We treated the new one, but the infection had already made it thru the tank to our puffer and we were unable to save her. :( be VERY careful when you buy new fish and be careful where you buy them from.

Puffers look cute and harmless but in reallity they are really dangerous but I don't really care. I'm gonna get a puffer anyway. (one day)

as long as you get the right tank-mates you will be fine. I have never had any trouble with my puffers attacking my other fish, not even the more docile ones -as long as your less aggressive fish are fast and can swim away if the puffer chases them.

congrats! put pics up when you get one. And my only advice is this: feed it a large variety of foods (ie vitamins, formula 1&2, silversides, squid and fresh stuff like clams from the grocery store) and do lots of water changes. Best of luck!
