At the end of the day, it's a change of direction made with the same hand: probably european players took the idea from soccer dribble, while Shammgod tried that move because it's intuitively quicker than the crossover made with two hands.

All I meant is that Gallinari probably took that from Dejan Bodiroga, one of the best european small forward in the last two decades.
