Casio G-Shock G7710-1 Review

Excellent review. Those who want to buy the watch for the interval function I would like to tell u my xperience: I was very disappointment when I realized that the clock only allows 5 countdown interval. If we use 1min-1min. interval, only have a total time interval of 10min. We must be aware of the final countdown to restart another 5. On the other functions, is an excellent watch. Negative display not brought me any problems. Excellent...!

I noticed the outer grey part of the watch looks purplish in some parts of the review/photos i found, is it too noticeable? i'm looking for an overall black watch, i don't like it if it's too colorful.

@marcusngtzithunn Press G for about 3 seconds in the time keeping mode. It wont work in any other mode. But once the auto illumination is on, it will work on all modes.

@jokachild1985 Yes, in the time keeping mode, press the adjust button for about 3 seconds till you hear a beep. And then press start/stop button 5 times. You will reach to a point where you can set the watch to 24 hrs format.

Oh my gosh! I have this wristwatch for two years and never realized that this has a countdown feature!

This watch got way too many features. Extremely customizable. A great buy.

The negative display is a cool feature for me. Of course it's hard to read in dark places but nothing the G button can't solve and you can activate the auto-light as well, holding "G" button for several seconds, then just move and twist your wrist toward your face.

Hi DougFNJ which would you say is the better watch, this the G-7710-1ER or the G-1000-1AER (I'm from the UK btw) I got this watch for xmas and it's pretty cool but i've seen the G-1000 which is on sale at half price from £125 to £62 and looks much nicer. I'm a 19 year odl student and i want something that'll last a LONG time and is cool. Plz help me thanks.

Hi, does this watch gives you the posibility to change the strap?, please somebody answer because i want to buy this but i wouldn't buy it if not. I have had bad expiriences with the straps of other watches which get break and it's not possible to change it, so as this is a much more expensive watch i wouldn't like not being able to use it afther only a few years. thanks

I had a G-Shock with the negative display (GW5600BCJ-1) but sold it because it was too hard to see in certain lighting situations. Does the contrast adjustment really help to make the display more visible?

The color of the LCD and the contrast adjust definitely makes it more visible.
