well fire aint that hard really, what i do is that i start with scorch, the put living bomb on the target, after that i spam fireball until pyroblast or fire blast procs. When i have 3 dots on the targe i then hit combustion on the target, rinse and repeat i guess.

But make sure that living bomb is always on the target.

@ChinnuWoW Its a must, 4.1 mana isnt an isue so clearcasting points is moved to other talent. meaning you will get both cauterize and impact ^,..,^ this video is old and outdated But if you ask me Im pro and i dont die even on wipes. i use the old talent no cauterize no blastwave have impact and clearcasting. If your asking how i do my aoe i use impact and not blastwave. hardcast pyro+LB+Combustion+impact and I proc impact with FS spam.

theoretically fire spec out damages arcane spec when you cross a certain gear threshold simply because of the sheer ammount of dots their increased coeficients to damage with mastery rating.

also the guy who made this dosent understand how stringing 5 dots together into one super dot that stacks with said previous dots and can be spread to any number of targets with impact is good he shouldent be playing a fire mage and should be spamming arcane blast arcane bolt and arcane missiles.

Living Bomb, Scorch (just to get critical mass), Blast wave (to proc ignite) Fire blast (if ignite procs) if ignite doesnt proc use dragons breath, if it still doesnt proc just spam fireball (or frostfire bolt depending on your glyph) and refresh living bomb and critical mass when necesarry :D

Saying that combustion sucks proves that this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Combustion allows all DoT to be added into one DoT debuff while leaving the current DoTs to be active. Download combustion helper addon to help you get a good combustion if you think it's hard :P

My current fire mage dps rotation is: FFbolt dot stack at 3 (5% dot 15% damage) Scorch (20% damage) Living bomb (25% damage) combustion (.5% damage) pyroblast (7% damage 3% dot) Flame orb (2%) etc etc. Main damage ability is scorch critting for 24K while FFbolt and pyroblast do 33-40K and fireball deals 25-30K crits. Combustion is used when both FFbolt stacks pyrodot and ignite and living bomb are up if the top dps phase of a bossifight. 15K magmaw.

First off Impact is a must because of a fire mage's mastery, which increases periodic fire damage (AKA fire DOTS). Impact spreads your AOE'S to all surrounding mobs, making it essential for DPS. Also, Crit chance on a fire mage is probably one of your most important stats, seeing as crits = hot streaks and hot streaks = DOTS+crazy damage and DOTS = DPS as a fire mage. Also, Combustion DOES NOT SUCK! DOT from living bomb pyroblast and ignite put together and reestablished, boosted by mastery? duh

First off Impact is a MUST in a fire spec, due to your mastery buffing your DOTS, and impact dropping your DOTS on all surrounding mobs, so basically if you use fireball and pyroblast and impact (which is normally gained from using an instant aoe like blast wave or flamestrike ((making that a must)) ) You can spread your DOTS to all surrounding enemies, maxing your DPS considerably.

WIth fireball and the fb glyph, it makes your fb crit %5 higher, and crit is exactly what you need to get a Hot streak, and thats where the DPS comes from. FFB is more dmg but fb is more crit and you need crit and not high damage HIT, better having a less damage CRIT.....

In this spec at item level 353 i am doing around 19-20k on raid bosses and doing around 50-55k on trash groups
