  • that's not ferrofluid, IT'S FUCKIN' VENOM!! HE REACTS TO SOUND!!

  • Why does this video remind me of the ring?!

  • Hahahahhaha get it to react with voice commands lol that would be cool u say like tee shirt then the ferrous fluid covers ur body to make a tee shirt

  • @mate2000 well no shit Sherlock how long did it take for you to catch up to the rest of us?

  • eat it then I MAGNETO THE GREAT shall control you and my army of minions.

O.M.G maybe the black stuff in X-Files is ferro fluid, ya know the stuff that's floating about is those not so normal peoples eyes. :-?

  • Im sure symbiote is black gloopy stuff that reacts to sound..

  • anyone else think... venom...

  • this is the perfect vid to scare someone,

right when there looking at the fluid something jumps out =)

  • my AP art class was required to create a piece of art this semester using ferrofluid.(which is the name of this magnetic fluid you are seeing here.) I made a website for the class with videos and photos of all our projects. - ferrofluids.info

Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks brahs.

  • Imagine if you could magnetize an entire room and have ferro fluid fly all over the room. Wouldn't that be something to behold? And, upon further reflection, this probably explains Flubber. Thumbs up if you agree, and don't hate if I spelled Flubber wrong, it's been years since I've seen that movie. :l

  • someone scream please.

  • probably just some weird japanese porn fetish...

  • That's exactly how it looks my food after some weeks in the refrigerator !!!!.....mine now even speaks !!!!!

  • What if the ferrofluid's splashing creates sound, which causes the ferrofluid to splash, which creates sound, which causes the ferrofluid to splash, which crea-blaaaaahhh...

  • how it move on heavy metal? xD

  • fun!

  • pretty much awesome.

  • "Eating is most essential and necessary activity for human beings."

    Just... Wise

  • I was actually going to do something along these lines for one of my portfolio projects for art next year.

  • Big waste of my time.

  • that is a nice white room...

  • so, when ferrofluid is reacting to a magnet, it also reacts to sound??

  • looks like its gonna be a horror movie or something lol

  • place a magnet in this shit then pour it ontop of a speaker and make sure it doesnt leak play a sound and watch the magic happen

  • A huge pool of this stuff at a heavy metal concert. In front of the crowd. Light it up and let the music take control. It will turn into a monster and devour the planet. My friend the magnet monster.

  • its not sound that makes it move, its magnets

  • @bray610 But if you hook up a speaker line to an electromagnet under the fluid, the electric field will fluctuate in cool ways.

  • i know but putting it at a heavy metal concert wouldnt make it move

  • It would move for sure. As long as there's a bassline. The problem is that you're at a heavy metal concert.

  • haha true, but he said it like a heavy metal concert would make it move into spikes

  • the monster magnet?

  • @KraZyRuskieFilms

Yeah monster magnet. That thing out in space that has matter and anti-matter at its vanished poles.

  • SOMEONE DO THIS HOLY SHIT

  • why does everyone get some kinda pleasure outta trying to trick people... if your gonna do it at least make it seem good.. the thing was moving even when you werent saying anything woo woot.

  • All that was left was for them to tuck in.

  • ignore my last comment.

  • its like that black energy from spiderman 3 haha

  • I think that there is simply an electro magnet under the plate, controlled by a computer, connected to a microphone, making the fluid seem to react to sound, but in reality, the fluid reacts to the magnet, which reacts to sound.

  • that's actually exactly what is happening, ferrofluid has iron oxide particles in it that reacts to magnets, kind of like iron sand.

  • @mate2000

How do you think a speaker work , OH WHT A MAGNET!!

  • @vissentim yep that's exactly what I said, only with much better spelling :)

  • @mate2000

    Sorry , my fold

  • @mate2000 damn it deleted my message.... well i was saying.. if they simply hook a microfone to an amplifier and instead of a speaker use a magnet.. that should do it... no need for a computer

  • @mate2000 Well, der. And why for you have twenty thembs ep?

  • @mate2000 nigga u dumb

  • lol try a blowhorn it will explode xDDDDDD

  • rosensweing effect is always the best :D

  • THATS SOME WEIRD ASS DINNER!!!

    but that ferrofluid kick ass

  • if it were an electromagnet the spikes would be spinning

  • Not with a DC electro magnet ; )

  • I need more iron in my diet.

  • @ANewNormalcy haha the IRON-y

  • @ANewNormalcy its not iron if it were iron the table would hav burned already

  • @JuanDVene

Do you even know what ferrofluids are? -__-

  • @BringYouTheHorizon06 No, but, I DO know that ferrofluids have nothing to do with iron because liquid iron is too hot to put in a table made of wood... Plastic... Glass, whatever. The point is that that is the reason i posted my previous comment

  • @JuanDVene

Iron (II) Chloride and Iron (III) Chloride, when mixed into a substance such as ammonia forms magnetite (the particle that actually makes ferrofluids...well, magnetic). So, it has everything to do with iron... :P

  • @BringYouTheHorizon06 Ok. But, people were saying that a ferrofluid is liquid iron and its not. It is an iron COMPOUND perhaps but not the actual liquid element. THAT is what I was trying to say. Either way don act like I am stupid. Would you really expect an eighth grader to understand ferrofluids in the first place?

  • I believe that the truth is that there is an electromagnet under the plate, which is controlled by an amplifier connected to a microphone.

  • possible

  • i dont get this

why is the fluid effected by sound??

i thought it works with magnets!!??

    this is soo weird!

  • the reason the ferro-fluid is affected by sound is because of the way sounds moves thru the air or the way most speakers work by using a electro magnet
